Dershowitz: House Dems seem to be 'going too far' seeking dirt on Trump
Fox News ^ | March 5 2019 | Victor Garcia

On the heels of an expanded investigation brought by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., famed attorney Alan Dershowitz warned Tuesday that House Democrats may have gone “too far” and could face lawsuits for allegedly abusing their oversight powers.

“Congress has a legitimate oversight function to perform but it has to make sure it doesn’t go too far. It can’t use that oversight function, which is really designed to help get legislation, in order to really prevent a president from finishing out his terms and acting. They’re interfering with the executive branch if they do so,” Dershowitz said on “Hannity.”

“A balance has to be struck between the legitimate function of Congress to investigate,” Dershowitz said. “The framers didn’t intend for Congress to become another prosecutorial branch, yet another investigative branch, they’re supposed to pass laws. So it seems to me these investigations look like they’re going too far.”

The other day, someone used the term ‘McCarthyism’ to describe where this is going. I suspect at some hearing in this summer...it’ll finally occur where someone stands up at a witness situation in a House panel group, and lay down the ‘McCarthyism-victim’ card, and then the house-of-cards will collapse for the Democrats.

Nadler's lengthy "Get Trump" subpoena list of 81 did not come together overnight.

<><> It appears, Nadler has been "lying in wait" to nail Trump.

<><> As well, Nadler has been stalking Trump's family, friends and acquaintances to determine their whereabouts and activities.

Conceivably, Nadler could be charged with "lying in wait", stalking, and criminal premeditation for political purposes.

It appears Nadler’s subpoena list of Trump family, friends and associates was compiled under suspicious circumstances.

How would Nadler know all the Trump people...unless he was stalking them, their whereabouts, and their activities.

Stalking is a crime if carried out on anyone........

Cong Jim Jordan and the rest need to ask:

<><> how, when, where, and why Nadler compiled the list .....

<><> why did he pull it out only when he got subpoena power.

<><> what did Nadler intend to do with the list IF he had not gotten subpoena power?

Soviet tactics. Rather than just go after a dissident alone they went after his family and friends as well.

The Republicans should respond by calling on the Democrats to try devoting at least some of their plentiful resources to solving all of the unsolved murders in the cities run by Democrats.

I read “The Real Watergate Scandal: Collusion, Conspiracy, and the Plot That Brought Nixon Down”

It’s all about how the Democrats tried to deny Nixon his constitutional rights.
