they are idiots and were going to lose.”””

My first tought was to wonder WHY a civil rights comission would ever act like civil rights operated at 360°... Well, that explains it!

Hd will be targeted again. Another LBTGQWERTY stooge will try to phony up a different discrimination case against him. They want to destroy him as a warning to others.

Dropped it before it could be used to establish landmark precedent?

I was thinking along the lines of baking “her” a cake that was edible but with a truly unforgettable flavor (no sugar+garlic+cinnamon+nutmeg+beef broth to moisten) and a truly hideous frosting.

Sales contract (cake order) fulfilled. Full refunds gladly made to dissatisfied customers.

The US Supreme Court held (7 to 2) that the Civil Rights Commission’s hateful rhetoric “cast doubt on the fairness and impartiality of the commission’s adjudication of Phillips’ case.”

Christian named Jack Phillips politely told the homosexuals that they were welcome in his bakery and that he would be happy to sell them anything off-the-shelf. But he could not violate his faith. He even offered to find them an alternative bakery for their decorated cake (which is easy).

But the homosexuals did not visit Phillips for a cake.

Until the next set-up.

You can bet some flamers have already filled out the paperwork for the next assault on this bakery.

No.

I know you think you are being clever but once you have established that they can force you to work for someone as long as that person pays you we are on the road to slavery.

That is why the answer is no.

And it is not just because of my "sincerely held religious beliefs" unless you want to count the belief that it is my God given right to tell you, "No."

As a small business owner I watch this carefully because I do take special commissions to find used and rare items. I also reserve the right to tell someone that I will not accept their commission for any or no reason.

The Gaystapo was probably ready for him making a bad cake. They would have sued him for deliberately sabotaging their ceremony.

“... said Mr. Weiser, a Democrat. ‘Equal justice for all will continue to be a core value that we will uphold as we enforce our state’s and nation’s civil rights laws.’”

That sounds like the standard scum talk you expect to hear from a hard leftist.

I also reserve the right to tell someone that I will not accept their commission for any or no reason.

And as long as you don't refuse to do business with them because they're gay or African-American or Jewish or elderly or disabled or any of the other reasons covered by anti-discrimination legislation then there is no reason why you can't continue with that policy. The baker didn't, and that's what got the government on him.

Civil Rights Commission may have dropped the case, but the SJWs haven’t.

The baker didn't, and that's what got the government on him.

You lie and you know you lie because people have told you the truth before.

He did not refuse to do business for them for any of those reasons.

The sodomites were free to choose any cake in the store and he would sell it to them.

He just refused to take on a commission to make a special cake for their make believe ceremony.

And for that the full power of the government came down on him.

So please go peddle your slavery supporting lies somewhere else.

Perhaps some stupid people might believe them.

Correct.

The bakery is a truly private company, with modest economic power, and the baker cannot be compelled to endorse a specific message that violates his First Amendment rights. The homoerotics require a baker to effectively publish and endorse their specific message. It has nothing to do with refusing them general service.

In contrast, the social media giants, with their billions of dollars, are publicly-traded corporations being protected by CDA Section 230 as open platforms that are not publishers and that are thus not liable for message content. They violate that Federal protection by in fact acting as intrusive publishers. They are being allowed to have their cake and eat it too (pun intended).

Christian bakers are being systematically targeted by Cultural Marxists who use their homoeroticism as a lawfare weapon. Meanwhile, Big Tech actually violate the stipulations of their Federal protection with flagrant impunity.

Money talks. Leftism wins. Both ways.
