Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is being accused of antisemitism again after accusing pro-Israel Americans of allegiance to a foreign country at an event on Wednesday evening in Washington, DC.
Laura Kelly, reported at the Jewish Insider that Omar told an audience of supporters at the Busboys and Poets café: I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay to push for allegiance to a foreign country, meaning Israel.
....
The idea that Americans who support Israel owe allegiance to Israel, or are guilty of dual loyalty, is a familiar antisemitic theme and has been roundly condemned as such in the past.
(Ironically, Omar once referred to Somalia as our country in blaming U.S. foreign policy for terrorism in 2013.)
Omar was seated at the event next to Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who made a similar comment earlier this year when she said that members of the U.S. Senate who supported a pro-Israel bill forgot what country they represent. Her remark drew complaints from Jewish organizations, including the nonpartisan American Jewish Committee.
At the café on Thursday, Omar also accused her Jewish colleagues of Islamophobia, saying that she feared they would interpret every criticism she and Tlaib made about Israel as antisemitism, because we are Muslim.

Yes, the Quran directs the Muslims to migrate to all countries, conquer them and force them to embrace Islam.
What is interesting to me is that the members of Congress who are dual citizens with Israel are the only ones who get outed. Michelle Bachman apparently was a Swiss citizen, so claims that the only dual citizenship is with Israel are false, yet we have no comprehensive list, just a whole lot of anti-semitism.
A “palaeo,” huh? What’s her screen name?
Is Ilhan Omar a dual citizen?
Yes. We owe allegiance to God. Not to some deity that encourages goat-humping.
I stand with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.
One God, now and forever. Amen
Actually, I think America is the "foreign country" in her view.
The problem I see is if you can vote in both countries. It violates the notion of putting ones country first.
You. Should.
“surrounded?” more like infused with.
America is a foreign country to her.
Like their constituents, Tlaib and Omar are non-assimilating, anti-American, trouble makers.
If it is the reality that Obama broke laws to drop these immigrants into America illegally, is it not then possible to round them up and deport them all?
In addition, could this breaking of immigration law be another count in a criminal indictment of Obama?
Does anyone know of any books that address this?
I don’t condone violence, but the more this lunatic opens her sizable mouth, the more I think that it is entirely “possible” that she may meet with some awful “accident”.
OOPS! I thought this was about OAC...... but, It works for this trash as well.
Just another example of Omar being a Nasty Little Bigot.
ALL muslims have allegiance only to Allah.
They are allowed to lie to infidels to advance Islam, that’s how they can take an oath to the Constitution of the USA without meaning it.
That said, anyone running for and holding national office should renounce any foreign allegiances. You are either a citizen of the US or a citizen of some other country.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Precisely why the founders restricted the office of President to individuals who could not be anything but an American.
Natural born citizens are NATURALLY citizens because they CANNOT be anything else and have only ONE nationality, born here of citizen parents.
The children of foreign nationals are EXACTLY who they were excluding.
Omar once referred to Somalia as our country in blaming U.S. foreign policy for terrorism in 2013... on Thursday, Omar also accused her Jewish colleagues of Islamophobia, saying that she feared they would interpret every criticism she and Tlaib made about Israel as antisemitism, because we are Muslim.
Thanks KC_Lion.
What’s the point of calling her an anti-Semite?
It’s like telling a Cossack to stop riding his horse around and swinging his scimitar. Warn him that hes liable to hurt someone if he doesn’t stop, and call him an anti-Semite. That’ll show him.
Of course she’s an anti-Semite. And she’s in Congress because she was voted in. If she wins a second term in 2020, that says even more about her constituents, who now can no longer plead ignorance.
How about Catholics of being primarily loyal to the Pope? That’s an even older bigotry, and just as valid.
