“Me!”
I’m sure that the DC government will sue over the “extra expenses” involved and that a Federal Judge somewhere will issue an injunction against it.
Alright ! my wife just said yes ... only a 2713 mile drive across RED Country !
Thanks for the post
Army Chorus and Lee Greenwood sing a capella God Bless the USA

What do you imagine about leftists that would give them pause?
Is there a website for the parade specifically? Hate to click on cnn.
Love the Lee Greenwood song, heard it to death but still love it.
Other than location, how will this event differ from the annual event that takes place on the west face of the Capitol? Will there be two separate events?
I hope that they can get Lee Greenwood to sing 2-3 times... Love that song...
y not invite Clutch 2 pla ?
your speed??
Unless there are thousands of Capitol Police officers on hand for this there can be no doubt that serious violence will occur...courtesy of “The usual Suspects”.
Make sure the security is as tight as can be.
Then, have unnamed people checking behind the checkers.
i know!!...that drives em right up the wall...hilarious.
Bump
Next you’ll be telling us you won’t Line Dance to ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie’ and you don’t like the band ‘Alabama’ or Eddie Rabbit’s, ‘I Love a Rainy Night’!
You probably kick your Hound Dawg when no one is looking and couldn’t hit a spittoon if your life depended upon it! ;)
And I am a Damn Yankee, that loves pretty much everything Southern. ;)
Speaking of ‘Damn Yankees...’
Ted Nugent’s ‘High Enough’ needs to replace ‘Proud To Be An American’ because that one gits on my nerves, too!

“Your favorite President, me!”
That made laugh loudly,
the man has large balls!
Heh, heh, heh! Yay!
I was neutral about Lee Greenwood’s song for a long time. But it has grown on me, familiarity in this case breeding affection, not contempt.
Considering the generally wretched state of popular music, it’s quite an accomplishment for Greenwood to have written a song that has become, dare we say, an Independence Day tradition ... or at least a tradition in the making.
Actually, the patriotic music that really greases my wheel is Sousa marches ... and not just “Stars and Stripes Forever,” “Semper Fidelis,” and “Liberty Bell,” the latter having been appropriated as the theme to “Monty Python’s Flying Circus.”
British Army bands are often superb, but they still have to draw heavily on American and Austro-German material.
I think everything Sousa wrote for military band is worth a listen. His music for the stage isn’t quite up to the same standard, although the operetta “El Capitan” included one of his most-played marches.
A couple of lesser-known Sousa marches I particularly enjoy are “Solid Men to the Front” and “The Black Horse Troop.”

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight

Yes!

I'll take Lee Greenwood, and "I'm Proud to be an American" anytime over that POS song.
Was that The Crash Test Dummies?
