It makes sense. The moon and atmosphere are both within the active gravitational field of earth.

Someone is missing a marketing opportunity. I’ve never seen a Van Allen belt sold in a clothing store.
Just read an item here at FR within the past week or so that indicated the Moon was coming closer to Earth.
Or... Did the item say it was moving further away???
