For this week’s NewsBusters Time Machine, we look back at one of the most over-the-top examples of journalistic fawning over Barack Obama. Remember when Terry Moran compared the Democrat to George Washington and said that the presidency is a “step down” for Obama? It happened ten years ago this week.
Appearing on a Mediabistro podcast on February 20, 2009, the Nightline co-anchor rhapsodized, “I like to say that, in some ways, Barack Obama is the first President since George Washington to be taking a step down into the Oval Office.” (For those who have forgotten, George Washington, prior to becoming president, defeated the strongest military power in the world. Obama was a state and U.S. senator.)
Moran continued, “I mean, from visionary leader of a giant movement, now he's got an executive position that he has to perform in, in a way.”
On Twitter later, On his Twitter page later, Moran tried to revise his adulation: “I said like only Washington, Obama came to office as more than a politician, a visionary leader for many. Now's he's got a job.”

These are the same folks who claim honestly that they believe Donald J Trump is not qualified for the job as POTUS; that he is stupid. It would never occur to them that an enormously successful businessman might be taking a step down to become President. Yet, Barack H. Obama, with nary an accomplishment to his name, is lionized by these idiots.
Yes who can forget those deep thought provoking expositions of the obozo philosophy, such as getting wee-wee'd up', and that the Austrian people speak Austrian, and Navy corpse-men, and I have a pen and a phone, which is right up there with I have a dream.

I don't know how people got so worked up about him then, and I don't know how people continue to get so worked up about him. He was a pretty much unknown state senator and failed congressional candidate who waltzed his way to a U.S. Senate seat when the Democratic primary front runner got blown out by a scandal, and then when the GOP nominee got blown out by a scandal. I've always suspected dark forces at work behind this but, since I don't know what or who they were, I won't comment any further. So Illinois had a new Senator who was, in the words of Joe Biden, "clean, articulate, and didn't speak with a negro dialect." I'll add to that, he reads aloud pretty well, except it always sounds to me like reading, not orating. After two uneventful years in the Senate, he made his move for the presidency. He had the charisma and the color to win over idealistic people, the most dedicated of which resemble members of a cult. His election was not only disastrous in itself, but he helped encourage and embolden leftist kooks to inflict themselves on us at every level.Look at how rotted out nearly every institution is now. A lot of them have been heading in that direction for a long time, but the rot has accelerated in the past ten years.
I wish Obama hadn't humbled himself to assume the presidency. He should have aimed for something higher, such as Antichrist.

Said drug use driving the more virulent behaviour of the classic Narcissist Sociopath). And that says nothing of his “I,I,I...... constant references and absolute self absorption in his own inestimable “brilliance”— completely and utterly unproven, as a leader or even as an academic writier— there is just...nothing there.
