Idaho Senate Opens Door to Gun Confiscation Orders with SJR101 Vote ~ VIDEO

Idaho – -(AmmoLand.com)- The Idaho State Senate stunned the citizens of Idaho yesterday by opening the possibility of Idaho implementing Gun Confiscation Orders, better known as “Red Flag” laws.

Despite repeated warnings from the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance and gun owners across Idaho, the Idaho State Senate moved forward with their ill-advised resolution known as SJR101 or Marsy's Law.

We'll get to who voted for and against Marsy's Law in just a moment.

States across the country continue to push through Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders. Bloomberg and his cronies with Moms Demand Action are dumping millions of dollars in the fight to destroy the 2nd Amendment, and passing Red Flag laws is just one of their objectives They are determined to fight gun owners at the Congressional and State level. And one of their biggest pet projects is to confiscate firearms from gun owners who they feel are a threat to themselves or others. These “Red Flag” laws may sound great on the surface, but they remain unconstitutional and a threat to the American judicial system.

Let's recap why Red Flag laws are so dangerous: 1.There is NO conviction required to confiscate the gun owner's firearms. 2.There is NO arrest of the gun owner being accused. 3.There is NO indictment of the gun owner being accused. 4.There is usually NO notification that the gun owner's firearms are about to be confiscated. 5.The police show up at your door and confiscate your firearms with NO due process!

Good point.
If one is being considered a threat to
himself or others, a gun is just one
of many tools used to take a life. Like
London, they’ll come after knives next.
Where will it stop?
Idaho Sheriffs should follow New Mexico
in declaring their counties as 2ND
amendment sanctuaries, if only to make
a statement. These laws being put
forth are unconstitutional and unenforceable.
With background checks on private sales, the
state can’t mandate that the federal government
perform them.

Left-wing radical Dems took control of all New Mexico state government last November and are passing the same “red-flag” legislation plus separate bills banning any sale, trade or barter of any gun without a Federal background check. If the legislation passes, as is likely, county sheriffs, most with the support of their county commissions, are refusing to seize guns without an accompanying arrest warrant for the alleged offender.

Yeah, sounds like California - the Bay Area - San Francisco - and the LA area are solid solid blue - most of the rest of the state is red. Those areas are infested with open borders, gun grabbing lefties - and they’re imported enough 3rd world savages to outvote us now.

Result? Gavin Newsom, Diane Feinstein, Eric Garcetti, Jerry Brown, Xavier Bercerra. Horrible...

These laws are as bad as the hotlines for anonymously reporting suspected child abuse to DHH.

ANYONE can call in and give your name for zero reason than they are going through a phone book and picking out names at random and reporting them.

And DSS is knocking at your door and sometimes even grabbing your kids and putting them in foster care where they’re guaranteed to be abused, over nothing more than spite of vindictiveness.

Recalls and trying to get rid of supportive politicians is all well and good. But the issue lies in places like Boise, where the Liberals and Hipsters are moving in. They’re no different, nor any less dangerous, in some ways, as any illegal or refugee. They ruin every place they go.

The problem in every state is the cities.

That's what destroyed NY and CA long ago. There's just no way to overcome them at the election box.

NYS is primarily red outside NYC and the other cities in NY.

NO ONE should be able to make an anonymous report. The police should keep the ‘reporter’ anonymous until an investigation has been carried out. But if it turns out that the allegation was deliberately malicious, THAT person should face the same prison term the victim would’ve faced.

We really need extreme penalties for hoaxers.

Yes, mam.

That’s why I would love to see an “electoral college” type system on the state level for offices like Governor, Lt Governor, AG. The districts would still be able to vote for whoever they wanted, but all the folks in the cities wouldn’t be able to ram their ideology down the throats of the rest of us. As someone that grew up in NY, I was young, but I wasn’t surrounded by Liberals. Union guys? Yes. All day and night. But not liberals, especially like the ones we have today.

I’ve been in Georgia for the last 23 years, the same thing is happening there and it’s kind of scary. Not many more places to go. Hell, even Alaska is getting bad.

“Idaho is 25% Mormon”.

Are Mormons gun grabbers? Serious question. I never heard of that.

Venezuela passed gun control in 2012. Venezuela has just started shooting unarmed protestors. It took only 7 years.
