With the confirmation of William Barr as the 85th Attorney General of the United States, we now have an experienced hand leading the Department of Justice.
At his confirmation hearing, Barr vowed to focus on violent crime, enforce our immigration laws, and protect the right to vote. But our country faces many additional challenges today, many of which require the active involvement of the Attorney General. Barr, who also served in the post under President George H.W. Bush, is uniquely qualified to lead the Department at this time.
It would have been hard for Trump to pick someone with a more detailed knowledge of the inner workings of the Justice Department and Capitol Hill. Barr also previously served as the Deputy Attorney General (the number two slot) and the Assistant Attorney General of the Office of Legal Counsel. That office provides legal analysis and advice to the attorney general and the president.
In short, Barr doesn’t need a months-long learning curve to understand how the department operates.
Barr made it clear in his confirmation hearing that he intends to ensure that the Justice Department, which includes the FBI, will “enforce the law evenhandedly and with integrity.” Barr promised that the department’s conduct would be “above and away from politics.” Nothing, he added, “could be more destructive of our system of government, of the rule of law, or the Department of Justice as an institution, than any toleration of political interference with the enforcement of the law.”
So what should Barr focus on, and why?

Fire Mueller and end the coup.
Prosecute Hillary
Leave the second amendment alone.
Appoint a special prosecutor over FISA and illegally spying on Trump.

The president cannot interfere with DOJ. He can start or stop any investigation. He can pardon anyone subject to one. Barr is an ass
Day 1: DAG Whitaker replaces Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann for criminal violations of Rights, disclosure of classified information, perjury in front of the FISA courts, Fraud against same courts, and refers them for prosecution.
Day 2: Barr initiates a Special Counsel against Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and especially Robert Mueller for their role in the Fusion GPS fraud and the sell out of US Uranium resources to Rosatom.
Day 3: Trump pardons Manafort, Stone and most importantly Gen. Flynn for their vile persecution at the hands of Weissman, a deranged psychopath bent on vengeance against any white male Republican.
Day 4: Barr closes down the Mexican border until further notice, i.e., when order on that line can be established. Don’t need no Congress cash to do that.
The swamp just got a little deeper.
Status quo.. nothing will change, no indictments just more investigations with no outcome.

Renew FISA is what Barr should focus on?
Hell no. He needs to prosecute the FISA fraudsters, including FISA judges if warranted, and send them all to prison.
FISA must be rewritten to remove it as a political weapon of the deep state.
Also, Barr better get ready because Weissmann and pals are going to put him in the crosshairs.
I’m guessing the Special Counsel report will claim evidence of impeachable offenses and recommend that Barr give it to Congress to start impeachment proceedings.
Bet they are setting Barr up for Obstruction charges if he doesn’t go along with the get Trump movement.
I hope Barr was referring to past political interference, and not just the present and future. Much from the past that needs to be investigated by truly independent investigators.
Haven’t seen it but haven’t specifically looked yet.
To your first point, I think he shouldn’t fire Mueller, but use that investigation as the template for conducting a thorough and open-ended investigation against the whole Zerobama administration, Clinton included of course.
The left can’t scream about it after being so supportive of the current investigation. (though they probably will anyway)
What’s with the creepy Deep State FISA insert?
Renewing any part of FISA should be off the table until treason-level abuses are accounted for.
