Why is Grassley being melodramatic? Is he too weak to withstand another round of negotiations before he keels over?
Deep State Idiot!
I don’t care what Rush said, this is how we’ve gotten screwed by Democrats for years...the quest for perfect is the enemy of the good. Take the money and add more to it and build the wall. Trump understands this, fortunately. The other provisions of the bill will be bigger potential show stoppers, but a shutdown is not an option. It will blow up on Trump bigly, and he knows this too.
i AM PRAYING THAT HE DOESN’T
3.5 billion for refugees? Can anyone say poison pill? The Democrats are not bargaining in good faith...at all.
Bush League Republicans MUST be replaced.
First Paul Ryan and now this?
Who needs enemies when you have fellow party members like this?
What about that poison pill, Senator?
This bill should not be signed unless there is 6 billion dedicated to wall construction.
Let the government shut down happen. It does not matter to a booming America at all.
Let the dems once again spin in the wind while hanging themselves by the neck. And let the GOP get some stones for a change.
Senator Grassley is 85 years old. At his age, the future of the nation does not matter.
There are too many old Republicans in the Senate and House. Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama, who has been the point person for the GOP in negotiating this spending bill, is 84 years old.
These old men are tired and have no passion or principles. They are negotiating with ideologies who are aggressively driving their objective of transforming the nation. The results are predictable.
Invite Nancy/Chuck over to the White House for dinner and make them eat the Bill
yep
[3.5 billion for refugees?]
That figures. Democrats putting foreigners ahead of Americans once again.
With the wall barely getting just over a 1/3 of that amount.
And now Grassley gives the Democrat talking point.....
SMH
I pray that the wall gets finished. Everything else is irrelevant. If shutting down the wall gets it done, I’m for it. If signing the CR gets it done, then I’m for it.
“Shutting down the wall”=”shutting down the government”. Sorry. Excessive multitasking made my fingers run away from my head.
I would just add a signing statement which says that nothing will be done to encourage illegal immigration or drug trafficking. Then, declare the border emergency already.
I just hate for TRUMP to sign it no matter whatever else he has planned...and I know it would probably hurt his just imporved poll numbers if he doesn’t sign it but it is such a slap in the face from both the dems and his own senate that he just won for them and us and they are just pitiful...what a bunch of flaming a**holes the senate is - Mitch the B*TCH you are - internationalist NWO henchmen and not real conservative valued constitutional republic faith keepers!
Both of NCs senators are the same - tillis is the worst - hope someone runs against him in a primary in 2020! Impostors!
Unfortunately NC ranks only behind CA, Texas, NM, and a couple of other states in illegals and with a dem Gov, well they are even talking sanctuary counties here...new sheriff wants to kick ICE out here...what a bunch of.....
reply to: [3.5 billion for refugees?]
If that is true he sure as hell should not sign it...you senators backed down to the new house of stupid amateurs...no they wanted to do this too - imbeciles...liars!!!!!!!!!! Go back and do your jobs - mitchy bitchy!
Yeah, I’m going by that post.
Thanks for the mid-terms, Democrats. Thanks again for Nancy Pelosi.
It is a horrific bill with micromanaging language for the border wall. 1Trillion dollars to be spent on what? Lawyers playing tricks on each other with legalease!
Yeah you probably need 10 lawyers and 100 Lobbyists to understand it anyway:-)
