Actually they lost. This is a campaign ad for Republicans. Unfortunately they won’t take advantage of it.

Of course, AOC bemoaned the project. Unemployed and underemployed New Yorkers might actually be expected to take a job at Amazon rather than signing on for government benefits. We can’t have that sort of capitalist exploitation now, can we?
To: JimRed
I suspect that those in AOC’s district that would have been potential hires are going to be thrilled about this. I’m just sayin’

Sounds like the Ocasio Bots got what they voted for.
Universal suffrage, for men and women - what a mistake.

There was no downside for AOC in opposing this. Amazon was going to be locating in a neighboring House district (not hers), and the small number of her constituents who might actually work for Amazon would likely have been little more than custodians at the building.
Meanwhile, her constituents were going to be hit up for more city and state taxes to pay for Amazon's burden on the infrastructure, school system, etc.

I would say that Amazon never had ANY intention of building/expanding there.
The entire thing was a giant data harvesting ruse and every town and city in the country fell for it.

“We cant have that sort of capitalist exploitation now, can we?”
That would go against her policy of providing a guaranteed income to those unwilling to work.

Amazon better look to a red state next. Don't come to Texas, we've already got enough liberals.
