But how are her ‘sandwich’ making skills?

A demonstration Team commander may, or may not be, the Lead Pilot in the demonstration squadron as they fly in close formations, but he/she/it MUST be able to fly exactly the formations as planned. The rest of the team flies off of HER position, angle, speed, and heading! So, if the “team” after only a few hours flight time has no confidence in HER ability to fly with hitting the ground at EVERY maneuver, he/she/it MUST be immediately relived.

Thunderbird and other acrobat teams (which fly nothing harder than these demonstration teams, they just do it for civilian air shows). Those pilots have hit the ground in air shows and in training and in cross country flight by doing exactly that: Flying off of the leader’s position and speed.

A male pilot can have an affair and increase his macho quotient, but if a female does it with a married man, she faces a loss of confidence, uh huh, that’s the ticket. I really don’t give a damn who she is banging if she can fly a plane.

“He once told me there was a valid military reason that adultery was a crime in the Air Force.” I was an Army JAG and I would be really interested to know what military reason that is.

They had to give her a try, probably ordered to.

And because this is pc social justice nazi driven bs, she wasn’t actually qualified to do the job.

So before people die and very expensive equipment gets destroyed, they removed her.

Because the officers above her, their careers would be tanked by her fuching up.

I thought about that.

She was a bit of a low rank for such a prestigious job..................

We never got deeper into the discussion but I imagine it had something to do with morale.

Whose morale? Because the morale of the two having fun would be way up, seems to me.

Sounds like - if true - she was a regular nympho who slept her way to the top, so to speak ... reading the comments one of which said she was a carpet muncher as well.

If you can’t figure that out, you have no business being an attorney.

It is a crime in the Army also, or did that go away with acceptance of gays? The military reason is obvious: it is dishonorable and undermines soldiers’ relationships with their fellow soldiers and leaders.

You are talking out of your ass. Plenty of male officers have been pulled from posts because of affairs.

You familiar with the phrase “Adversely affecting unit cohesion”?

The reason for adultery is so someone else keeps their hands off a married spouse while the service member goes off to war, goes out to sea on deployments, goes TDY/TAD, etc.

The absent military member doesn’t need another distraction from doing their duty, nor should a family be busted up because someone decides to vector in to the scene and redo the casting.

How about unit cohesion when the person in the adjacent maintenance bay or squadron is screwing your spouse—how would that play in Punxsutawney??

Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but I have seen MANY CO’s and other leaders fired, including two of my own CO’s and several other leaders I worked with. “Loss of Confidence” is frequently the ONLY reason given publicly. Obviously, when there is an accident or other major incident that is highly visible to the public, specifics are given.

Normally, it could be many different things, like poor readiness, poor leadership, failing an inspection, failure to make required reports, etc. But her being fired after only two weeks suggests something more behavioral vice professional, like an “unduly familiar relationship”, inappropriate behavior (like getting very drunk in public and dancing on a table), an affair, etc.

I think this is one plane with a Demo Pilot and the ‘team’ is the enlisted ground crew.

Captain (O-3)? - Only out of aviator school for five years? - Seems awfully young for a job like this.

You are correct! You win the All-Aviation Internet award.
