Trump's 'Socialism' Attack On Democrats Has Its Roots In Cold War Fear

President Trump is moving aggressively to define the Democrats as old-fashioned, Cold War-style socialists. Now, it's up to the Democrats to define what it is they are for. Much of the difference comes down to semantics - the wording and view of what socialism really is. The problem, though, is nuance doesn't usually play well in campaigns, especially in primaries.

It's the new style of socialism.

Government has the means to control "private companies".

I'll call it Crony Socialism.

Who cares if it's new-style or old-style socialism, it's still government control.

NPR and other well funded fake news aka propaganda is so obvious to conservatives. One reason (amongst others) -We are tuned to perceive deception because we read scripture and history. We tend to be cautious and sceptical with the news. Satan is a deceiver and aiming to imprison and shame us: millions are in his trophy cabinet and millions have been ransomed and restored.

I fear for all those millenial undergrads in blue city-states... who is trying to rescue them?

For the party of Alger Hiss, attacking socialism is “Cold War fear”, but falsely accusing Trump of colluding with Russia is fine.

They will shift to praising China I think. Many young people do not know how bad it is in China and but do know that China makes great smartphones and other items they want.

I think of that lone freedom fighter standing in front of the line of Tanks in Tiannamen Square in 1989 I think. The communists promptly disappeared him -just another victim in that Orwellian nightware regime, the worst/largest this world has ever seen.

When younger voters respond positively to "socialism" in polls, they're not saying they want the country to become like Venezuela or Cuba. To them, "socialism" is synonymous with a strong social safety net and an economy where big banks and billionaires pay - proportionately - their fair share in taxes.

Younger voters respond positively to "socialism" because of human nature. They respond positively to the prospect of "Freebies", period. Younger voters would love nothing more than to lay around on their ass all day, having guilt free and responsibility free sex all day, being provided with free food every day, etc. Basically, they are more than happy to give up their freedoms for Free Shit.
