President Trump on Monday said he would build his long-desired wall along the southern border regardless of whether Congress approves funding for it. "Just so you know, we're building the wall anyway," Trump said at a campaign rally in El Paso, Texas, which sits directly across the Rio Grande from Mexico. Trump spoke shortly after lawmakers said they had reached a funding deal in principle to avoid another government shutdown set to begin on Saturday. The deal includes some money for barriers along the border. The president said he would not sign an agreement that cuts the number of detention beds used to house immigrants caught living illegally in the U.S. "If we cut detention space, we are cutting loose dangerous criminals into our countries," Trump said. "I will never sign a bill that forces the mass release of criminals into this country." Democrats appear to have dropped their demand to dramatically slash the number of beds, but the measure does not include Trump's full request for 52,000 beds.

I have a question. What happens to a person (not of Mexican citizenship) who sneaks across the border into Mexico and goes running up to the Mexican police/border patrol/cartel enforcers ?
There will be other budget bills in the future, but reducing ICE beds is defunding ICE.
I’m pretty sure the next time there is a Democrat president he or she or it will declare a national emergency for global climate change spending.

The proposed agreement specifies a budget number without a specific number of beds as the DemonRats wanted. They could very well have more beds than before, but this MSM clap-trap is searching for some good news and telling lies about the agreement.
Who are ? Why would we want less beds? Are you in favor of catch and release? R U crazy?
We need those facilities because without them it means catch and release.

I’m tired of this discussion; everyone has already shown their cards. Declare the national emergency. Build the Wall. Press for a rapid review when America’s globalist enemies file a case in front of their hand-picked Obama judge. And then make all the necessary funding available to build 1,900 miles of Border Wall this year. Don’t just go for symbolic progress - get the job done now.
President Trump doesn’t need this issue to get reelected. Instead, he can point to the accomplishment, and push for a second big task for his second term. [I want that to be deporting every single illegal in our country, but it’s better politically if he articulates a different priority during the campaign and then deports all those criminals while also accomplishing his new goal.] How about ending HIV/AIDS completely as a second-term goal?
Throw in three more Supreme Court picks, 100-plus lower court judges, and a shift toward smaller federal government and more restrained spending, and the Trump Presidency will be a big win for America.
Gosh - why can’t some folks just take good news ad ...good news? Is it a sexual thing where fretting all over the place raises certain biochemical levels that cause good feelings?

These dirtbags spend 1.4 billion of our money to study the result of high pitched sounds on sea snails, or to figure out the impact of using pronouns on Federal documents. And they can’t spend whatever is necessary to protect our country from an invasion in SPITE of the wishes of the majority of the population?

Reminds me of when hubby used to go on huge fires here in California. He and his crew would be in the middle of nowhere working a fire line and when they’d finally get back to fire camp the prison crew would be the only ones with cots. I guess it’s mandated or something that they supply them with cots. Needless to say, the prison crews didn’t get to keep their cots. lol
To be permanent and effective, the wall needs legislation and funding. Executive action is easily reversed or delayed by frivolous lawsuits.
Wall, eVerify, end anchor baby citizenship, punish employers, stop all welfare, end diversity VISA lottery, deport every damned illegal, then halt all new immigration for 25+ years.
Federalize the National Guard in all border states (thereby rebuking those DNC Governors) while at the same outlawing Sanctuary Cities. Accomplish utilizing an EO citing presidential authority as Chief LEO and CC. Utilized discretionary spending funds to build the wall and cover shortfalls for the Department Homeland Security Immigration, Customs and Enforcement activities.
By declaring a National Emergency and writing separate EOs for each aspect this plan it becomes compartimalized for legal challenges.
The part the DNC’ers cannot overturn is the federalization of the State National Guard in AZ, CA, NM, CO, TX, LA NY, WA, NV, and anywhere else that there are Sanctuary Cities. Nor the arrest of those breaking Federal Laws.
Send in the National Guard as was done to Gov McGovern in AL and declare Martial Law in those sanctuary cities using the troops - arrest those elected officials and LEO who refuse to comply with the Presidential Decree. If members of political parties are vocal or try or organize demonstrations lock’em up under Federal Statute and Legal Authority that goes with Martial Law in Sanctuary Cities as rebels or on anti-America activities - such as membership in the communist party.
The FBI can detain the political and LEO offenders those people in positions of power who are not executing their legal obligations under Federal Law it forces them to lawyer up to defend themselves against become felony offenders.
Build the wall using US Army Corps of Engineers transferred from various State functions like waterway projects by issuance of Government Contracts to companies to backfill for the CE.
FEMA emergency funds can be used to hold detainees, illegal immigrants and build housing for ICE per the 25% increase sought by the president.
This is no different from the Southern States during the Civil War - Trump is immediately sitting behind the same desk as was Lincoln.
The future belongs to those who can insulate themselves with legal authority and legally derived power to execute the laws of this great Nation.
