I have no reason to second guess what Trump is doing, in fact just the opposite. I really like the first two years of Trump, hope that the next six years are even better.

Please enlighten me as to what Whitaker has done. Any investigation into the the 3 year old coup? Any movement on bringing Clinton Inc. to justice? Other than mouthing off to some committee Rats he’s done zip so far.

Barr has every red flag for a complete disaster. Bush association, Mueller association, Deep State resume, indifferent to Constitutional restrictions on government, and so on.
Conservatives need to start treating the AG position like a Supreme Court pick. With the abdication of even the tiniest of pretenses of equal enforcement, what this country needs more than anything is the RIGHT attorney general.
And Barr has more than enough to his name to definitively rule him out as the right guy. “We” should be as pissed at this nomination as we were at Harriet Miers’ - if “we” are still conservatives and “we” are serious about believing in the rule of law.
That's what I've heard too; but I don't know it as a fact.
That's an issue I'd hate to take a chance on.

You can certain criticize Trump on this forum, it is one of the most popular past times going. But you are being a little disingenuous with your claim on you member page, aren’t you?

Well, I didn’t sign on to ride for the government brand. The government doesn’t pay me every month to work for them; I pay them every month to work for me.
Trump is the best thing for our country since Reagan, but Trump has never claimed to own the country. He has asked us to send him to Washington so he can represent us.
Trump is our guy but he will be the first to tell you he has already made some bad personnel choices. Barr could be another bad choice but I don’t absolutely know that.
I would certainly not call Mr Trump a government guy. Just the opposite and that’s why he got elected. I have no reason to complain about what he is doing, what he is trying to do is very difficult and given that both parties are not really happy about it, I’ll give him the credit that he is due.
It will be interesting to see what happens on this forum tomorrow when we know the details of the budget deal. Lots of people will be in full cry trying to throw Trump under the bus.

You make a very good point, but here is my thinking...
Two possibilities- Either PDJT is putting Barr there as a good pick he believes can help bring order to the DoJ and perhaps fulfill a specific purpose- OR you have to believe that having been screwed over numerous times by following the advice of others, and especially by a back-stabbing former AG, PDJT is once again saying “what the hell just plug this guy in”.
I choose to believe our POTUS is smarter than that.

Totally agree. The Republicans in Congress - half of them -are worthless. The President is having to fight the Democrats, the Rinos, and the Fake Media.
Under the circumstances, the President is doing a great job. He will add 10 to 20 years to the life of our Republic. Maybe more.

I agree. Barr has taken a number of questionable positions, among them support of more gun control and he also defended Lon Horiuchi, the man who murdered Vicki Weaver under color of law.
I wouldn’t appoint Barr dog catcher, much less AG.
