I doubt that it’s about waking up. It’s most likely about owning them. Those two will be totally beholden to who bailed them out and not the people who elected them.
The FBI has no authorization to investigate in such a case - none!!!
And who bailed them out? The MSM. If these men were Republicans, the stories would be non-stop on CNN, etc and on the front page of the NYTimes, etc. Instead, it’s either being nuanced or totally fading. It is impossible to overstate the degree to which the media in this country are the enemy of the people.

And who bailed them out? The MSM.
It looks like it might go deeper. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorists but someone is giving the MSM their talking points and marching orders. They all seem to say the same thing, even using similar phrasing and terminology when they address specific subjects. I don’t think it stops with them.
Bottom line, unless something else comes out, they’ll all skate.
And the voters will return them to office in the next election.
Because they’re Democrats.
And that’s what Democrat voters do.
My thoughts, too. Democrats who show up to support a candidate braying against global warming during a heavy snow can’t be helped. They are totally eaten up with stupid.
