In our 20 years of marriage we’ve probably gone out twice on Valentine’s Day. Up until a few years ago I’d have been happy with any restaurant. Now I’m over it. I make cards and treats for the kids and look forward to the end of wrestling season.
The kid is gone but we’ve never been out on Valentine’s Day. I was a bartender for many years and worked my share of every single holiday. Seen it all. You couldn’t pay me to go out on any of them. I always buy a nice steak and a couple of lobster tails from the meat market and we have a very nice meal at home.
