There are some wonderful commentators and writers and talk show hosts, everybody does a bang up job describing the problem. And that’s important, and they do it with humor and insight and historical perspective. And make a good living doing so. Keeping people informed is absolutely vital.
This has been going on for 20+ years now, since the leftists went into turbo mode. So hurray for describing the issues, and illustrating how fooked everybody is. Out here in the cheap seats, we know this stuff.
What I haven’t heard is what anybody wants to do about it. Here there be dragons. Because, we’re not going to persuade the “other side” with facts, reason, or logic, discourse, or appeals to civility or any of those quaint notions. They have very visibly and purposefully rejected all this. Voting doesn’t seem to help, they simply reject anything that doesn’t comport with their world view. The law is simply a smorgasbord, only constraining the rubes, while they commit every sort of conspiracy and intrigue and laugh at anyone who suggests they be held accountable.
If GDP was 5%, wages were growing 5%/yr, we weren't importing socialist workers by the millions every year, we had tariffs and strong/modern industrial base do you think socialism would have chance? Of course not.

That’s right. All we need is a few pilot studies for Green New Deal. Let’s start with Massachusetts, California, and New York.
Let them prohibit gasoline and airplanes. See if their voters approve.
Regardless, at what point is so much damage done to the economic infrastructure of our country that it cannot be repaired, even with Republican majorities in all three branches?
Trump aggressively rescinded many of Obama's unauthorized regulations and executive orders, but what if we get some "polite," milquetoast Republican in the future? One who got elected to "tap the brakes" on an overly-aggressive and ambitious Democrat agenda?
I pray that we don't ever get such a Republican; Trump has shown them how we must govern, and the days of being polite, of going along to get along will never be effective, and that the press will hate you regardless of your stance.
My hope is that the Supreme Court will overturn any outright socialistic legislation, as it should be un-Constitutional, but we've already seen how Roberts seems to find ways to finding ways to defend their positions.
