WHY do these women who are sexually assaulted tell EVERYONE ON SOCIAL MEDIA that they were raped once upon a time, but NEVER go to the police when it happens? Were people NOT charged/prosecuted for rape 18 years ago?

I'm willing to sympathize with women who say they were victims. I'm willing to agree it's a terrible thing, because it is. I'm not willing to "always believe the woman" if it means I have to support ruining some guy's life, and I'm not willing to sic the power of government on someone (gender irrelevant) without due process.
Make an accusation 15, 20 years later, the accused can't have due process. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a fundamental right.
If affirmation of her 'experience' means "women don't lie," string him up, then I want no part of it. If you want the government to address a grievance, make a timely complaint. Government power should never be wielded to 'affirm.'
I'm glad I'm 72, married for 45 years and not hittin' the bars anymore, not that I did that much to start with.
Anyhow, it sucks to be young these days, I guess. I'd hate to be a teenager presently.
