1) Harris' personal interest brings into question where her loyalties lie 2) India has decided that the US 7% per-country caps are unfair to India because India has more people.

Both low life open borders A-hole anti-Trumpers. Bringing in all the Indians they can to replace Americans in engineering jobs. And I got a bridge to sell anyone who thinks the numbers for any other country will be lowered when they open the floodgates for India.
Or hell, a bridge to sell anyone who actually believes they keep count AT ALL.

Why the rush to bring in people for good paying jobs. Train our youth to do these jobs. If you bring in from other nations, our youth don’t have the openings ever. Terrible traitors these people are.

(Ken) Buck said year after year, he has met with constituents who come here legally on work visas from India or China and face decades-long wait times for obtaining permanent residence.

If they aren't citizens, Mr. Buck, they aren't your constituents.

Ted Cruz is one of the most Conservative Senators. He’s not one of Mitch’s puppets either. Before you condemn him consider that American greatness was achieved by letting in great people. People who were part of a brain drain in some other country that treated them like a resource and not a sovereign individual like America was founded for. Harris on the other hand must want to open a door for one of her particular evils. Which one I don’t know, I only know from her past behavior she must be up to no good.

I find it ironic that Utah now has the best senator (Mike Lee) and the worst Republican (Romney).

The Green Cards are a legit entry into the US. As long as the program is managed and Green Card holder doesn’t violate the law, or create a welfare case for themselves...I wouldn’t care. In the case of India....if you look around at technology degrees...they are producing a ton of qualified engineers and scientists each year.

From the various Indians I’ve met...none of them are welfare cases or demonstrate criminal behavior. I also note that you just don’t find any Indian drug cartels, or Indian mafia gangs at work.

Let's see... Sen. Harris, raised in Canada and holds dual citizenship (US-India), wants to pass a law that benefits one country (India) over working American citizens. No, I don't see a conflict here...

Will a president Harris declare war on Pakistan at the demand of India?

India is the biggest supplier (abuser) of H1-B visas. Most of the H1-B Visa holders never return to India, and instead are able to get a Green Cards.

India wants it both ways - unlimited Green Cards, and unlimited H1-B visas.

Indians aren’t wasting time talking about transgender business or bathroom ‘studies’. They also don’t associate sports into the school business operations.

Actually, I agree with this one. Nothing in logic or common sense or statistical population distribution says that the best 100,000 applicants (or whatever the number in a given year) are exactly distributed by nation according to some idiotic table of limits per country. In 2019, maybe the top 50,000 are all from Bangladesh. In 2020, maybe only 77 Bangladeshis are in the upper echelon of what we want or need that year. I doubt that there is one valid reason for an unchanging limit per-nation within our set overall limits.

Of course, their reasons for offering this change are likely improper and self-serving... but if that was our rubric for supporting or opposing legislation, then we would all become Ron Paul and Rand Paul clones... philosophically consistent, but marginalized and powerless.

I don't see too many Indian murderers, rapists, welfare cheats, protestors, or cultural invaders. From my experience, they mostly seem to own and manage and staff hotels, motels, and convenience stores... hard working, tax-paying, and standing up against thugs and low-lifes and takers. Given the alternatives, I'd rather the majority of H1-B holders be from cultures like India, rather than Central America, Mexico, or any Islamic nation or culture.

In no way should this be about India’s population. It is about the US and its citizens!

Why India has close to an unlimited supply of cheap labor express workers chomping at the bit to replace US workers.

This was my big issue with Ted Cruz when FR was Cruz country.
The betrayal is coming back to bite us :(

The muslim population of India is equal to the total population of the US and comprises a large segment of the upper castes. They are more likely to be educated and so more likely to be hunting US jobs. Caste systems are still a part the Indian culture - that is, widespread discrimination is still an accepted part of their culture, if technically illegal, especially against Christians who are considered lower-caste. Something to consider when contemplating compatibility with US values. (same caste systems exist in central America, so, not to single India out as a lone ranger)

With all due respect...I am guessing you do not have or know people in STem positions because your observations are not correct...

I have 4 family members in STEM positions—2 Engineers as a matter of fact, so I follow this issue rather closely.

I agree tht India is producing a ton of workers...However, they are not all that well qualified. If they were, then they would not need to be trained for weeks or months by the US workers they are replacing...Look up Disney, Verizon, ComEd for a few of the companies that have replaced long-time well paid US workers with cheap Indian and foreign labor.

There is a near endless supply of Indians wanting to come to US—they very often get their degrees from on-line diploma mills, and they are not necessarily as competent as US workers. They just will work for less because they want to come and be sponsored. Think indentured workers...because that is what they are.

Meanwhile we have many middle aged US citizens who are long-time unemployed because the cheap foreign labor has undercut their salaries and the middle aged workers are fighting ageism...

We have unlimited student Visas for foreign students, and universities are showing preferences to those students because they pay full-ride out of state tuition...versus the in-state tuition that state residents pay...Don’t believe me? Look up University of Illinois/China...Oh and Oracle is being sued by Trump administration for hiring preferences of foreign students graduating from US colleges...Now why are we suing over the hiring of foreign workers on the one-hand and yet wanting to hire more on the other hand?

Why are we tariffing products to protect US steel and coal jobs, yet we are opening the door to foreigners for STEM positions...What about national security? We are in a trade war with China over intellectual property and State intelligence...Why would we want more foreigners able to peruse our US data?

It is not about whether they are nice or law abiding (I have known many and they are)—it is about handing over what remains of our middle class sustaining STEM positions to foreigners...Much like steel workers, and These STEM jobs once fueled our middle class. US citizens need these jobs.

MAGA does not mean flooding STEM positions with cheap foreign labor.
