Demand for Long-Acting Birth Control Rose After Trump’s Election Amid Insurance Concerns
New York Times ^ | February 4, 2019 | Christina Caron

In the days after President Trump was elected, some women saw his victory as reason to worry: Would he fulfill his campaign promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act? And if so, would it eventually become harder and costlier to obtain birth control?

News organizations sounded the alarm: “Get an IUD Before It’s Too Late,” a Daily Beast headline warned. “Here’s Why Everyone Is Saying to Get an IUD Today,” said a New York Magazine piece.

In November 2016, Sarah Christopherson, the policy advocacy director at the National Women’s Health Network, told Broadly, a branch of Vice Media, that women should be “very, very worried” about birth control.

So did women rush to obtain intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants?

A study published on Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine supports what doctors had already observed: There was an increase in the insertion rate of long-acting reversible birth control devices soon after the 2016 presidential election.

“The unique thing about IUDs and implants is that they last for so long,” said Dr. Lydia Pace, an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and the lead author of the study. Because the devices were so long-lasting, women were taking advantage of insurance coverage provided under the Affordable Care Act, and getting a birth control method with the longevity to weather potential policy changes.

Trump was elected, and birth control is still available. Shocking. Leftists already suppress their numbers by advocating abortion, homosexuality, and transgenderism. If they panic themselves into getting long-term birth control, so be it.

Why would ANY Socialist woman (or man who THINKS he’s a woman) need birth control anymore?

Just kill your kid at birth. Mother Government has made it legal for you to do so now in over 30 states!

The depopulation is all over the place, people don’t get married on average until they are older as it is.

1) birth control pills
2) IUDs
3) implants
4) Plan B
5) abortion legal in first trimester
6) abortion legally permissible in 2nd trimester (some states)
7) abortion legal thruout pregnancy in the event of rape, malformation, illness or threat to mother’s life (Some states)
8) adoption services available thruout pregnancy and after birth

So why do they need infanticide?

To be clear: I have always been in favor of ‘women’s choice’ in the event every option fails during a pregnancy. I draw the line at healthy babies able to be killed up to and immediately after birth.

I am also against adoption and surrogacy available to same sex parents because too often abuse has been proven in such instances.

Voluntary single parenthood may need scrupulous vetting. (can of worms alert)

The agenda is clear. It is now the time for everyone to choose. I hope a majority favor birth and survival of healthy babies with tighter controls on termination that is obviously a prelude to genocide.

I watched a British crime show a few weeks ago where the antagonist was paying a woman to have a baby so they could transplant it’s organs into his ailing toddler. I am not sure exactly what in reality is feasible to do in that manner, but it did creep me out. And I do not often react emotionally to fiction.

I advise tube tying for anyone on welfare. That’s long term birth control.

The whole cost thing is so stupid. You can get 100 condoms on Amazon for < $20. Getting paid birth control in Obamacare was simply feminists flexing their muscle. In the mean time, Obamacare does NOT pay for a man to be tested for prostate cancer. Or anything else male related.

Affordable Care Act is like calling Evil "good". Like saying, "Abortion is for the good of the childrens". Millions of people get free health care, while those who pay for theirs found that they can no longer afford to use it, and just having it is breaking the bank.

Of course, some special snowflakes didn't like me saying that on facebook one day and came and smashed our car windows at three in the morning.

Before Obamacare, my old girlfriend went to a women's health clinic, and her monthly wheel of pills was $20 or $25. (And many women are put on pills anyway to help regulate their cycle anyway.)

For LESS THAN FIFTY DOLLARS A MONTH you can have DOUBLE PROTECTION. I don't understand how people can't understand that. Sure, there's a few dumb kids who can't be bothered to do either. But the whole populace hasn't reached that level of idiocracy yet.
