Until it’s reported somewhere other than the Washington Post by way of the Hill, it’s not proof.

WashPost and The Hill are both leftist Trump-hating rags, so let's wait for this to play out.

REMEMBER - if the ailing RBG passes soon, McConnell will have a huge role in steering the nominee thru ... leftists would like nothing better than for Republicans to be divided ...

Wanna bet this is another WashPost hit piece quoting "anonymous sources"??

It’s unfortunately a very uniparty thing to do. Totally credible as a threat, at least.

Last election DJT personally destroyed 16 of the GOPs most prominent members. Now it’s time to destroy the rest.

The GOPe actually wants POTUS to act unilaterally because that takes the wall hot potato off their plate. McConnell is just warning POTUS here that the usual GOP Senate ankle biters will publicly undermine Trump’s policy.

McConnell is Deep State scum. This is proof

Correct.

Legislation does not make it to a vote unless McConnell allows it.

However I would expect the Supreme Court to rule such legislation unconstitutional because the Constitution expressly gives the president the power to declare an emergency.

President Trump says he knows where he can get the money, so I wonder if this is not another of his traps to expose the backstabbers.

McConnell is no better than Ryan, just more clever.

I think this is a huge lie*** google-the Hill, sources? With a very large number of voters wanting the wall, replacements in GOP will be impossible to stop if this happened.

Even if he can veto it, Don’t assume there aren’t 18 Republicans to join the Dems and override a veto. Most GOP senators are open borders, in thrall to billionaire donors
*******************************************
Under current LAW, it takes 3/4 of BOTH chambers to override a Presidential Declaration of Emergency. The open-borders RINO Traitor Confederacy would have to round up 28 traitorous RINOs to go on record. That won’t happen, IMHO. If they take a vote at all it would serve merely get all the open-borders ‘RATS & RINOs on record before the 2020 elections.

The story has the strong ring of truthbbecause most GOP senators oppose the wall and want open borders. They answer to big donors. If they wanted the wall, they would have tried to find it over the past two years. Instead they sent Trump budgets that actually prohibited spending on the wall

It sure appears the GOP has a political death wish. You can trace this swing left back to the “autopsy” report written after Obama wiped the floor with Romney. The GOPe desperately wants America First conservatives dead or gone from the party. And they really don’t care which.

There is no Senate power to over-ride Executive power.
There only option would be impeachment.
And I would love to see them try.

I saw “Politico” yesterday threatening to abolish the filibuster as soon as the ‘Rats take back the Senate.

If Mitch weren’t bought and paid for, he’d do it now. No good, country club Republican.

The declaration-of-emergency law gives Congress the authority to disapprove a presidentscdeclaration. Whether he can veto that vote by Congress, I don’t know
************************************
The Act requires 3/4 of both houses to override.

Screw the GOP Conference.

***************

Yep. The Gutless Old Party strikes again. They don’t care that the party’s voters supported the president’s agenda and want the damn wall built. What a bunch of pathetic, sleazy losers they are.
