Look up convective heat transfer.
I know exactly what it means.......All wind speed does is amplify the loss of heat from an object, it does not decrease the ambient temperature. Specifically, a 50 MPH wind will not cause a glass of water to freeze at 33 degrees despite a "feels like" temperature of say, 17 degrees........
Dressed appropriately, as I always am, it's unlikely anyone can notice a difference between 10 degrees actual and -10 "feels like"......
That's why "wind chill" is nothing more than a means for your TV weatherman to create drama for his weather report.........
