“Never hear about the wind chill factor during the summer.......LOL! “

For summer they’ve developed the heat index which factors in outdoor air temp and humidity (”it feels like”) on humans.

I like that they do both wind chill and heat index in their weather reports. I find it useful.

I was gonna say the two “L”s look mighty suspicious. Is this the Racquel Welch effect?

“they” have fallen in love with “polar vortex” while the alberta clipper is seldom seen anymore and I missed the wake.

Those Indians must have been a hardy lot to have survived those winters.

“AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures dropped under 50 below zero”

I hate this “realfeel” crap. just tell me the actual temp. and I’ll decide how I “feel” about it.

They did have to chisel their way through a km of glacier to see the sun.

If summer there occurs once a year, why does the “Vortex” not move south every year having the same results as this year?

Wind chill is a ridiculous and made up measurement. No matter what the wind chill factor is, water or any inanimate object will not freeze if the air temperature is at or above 33 degrees......

If it gets colder, it must be global warming.

Yes, I’ve seen colder than -15 here, north of Indy.

About 12-15 years ago, we had -20 with -60 wind chill.

So cold, a YUGE Cargill grain bin near me burst, spilling hundreds of thousands of bushels of corn

We must have signed a peace treaty with our northern neighbors because “Canadian invasion” is no longer used in weather talk.

The extreme heat in the polar region is pushing the cold out of the polar region and into the U.S.

They're pretty poor on their physics; warmer air rising will cause the cooler air to come in...it won't push anything.

It’s so cold here, politicians have their hands in their own pockets!

I was out briefly in -60 windchill, -12 actual. You can’t function. Frostbite in 5 minutes of exposure.
