The White House on Tuesday announced the re-nomination of 51 federal judicial nominees left over from the previous Congress, kickstarting the administration's effort to install more conservative judges after GOP activists worried that such appointments had stalled.
Nine of the 51 appointments are for spots on prestigious and influential federal appellate benches, including two on the mostly liberal San Francisco-based Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which President Trump has often derided as politically biased.

McConnell needs to get these approved immediately. Skip the delays and crawling. Put 9th Circuit at top of list!
The only thing preventing them from being rubber-stamped is the Republican Party.
What about Patrick Bumatay, Daniel Collins and Kenneth Kiyul Lee? Are they now forgotten?
The House isn’t going to pass anything worth passing in the Senate, so might as well just spend two years confirming as many judges as possible.
16 were appointed by Clinton and Obama, 5 by W., and 2 by Trump, with 6 vacancies. It will take a while to change that court. The good news? 15 of them are over 65 years old, and 7 of those, are over 70! Don’t wish anyone to get sick and die, but I don’t mind if they suddenly decide to retire!

Hell yes, the judicial appointments have stalled.
Lindsay Graham needs to get off of his dead ass and get a steady flow of nominees RAPIDLY through the Judiciary Committee approval process. It should NOT be allowed to drag on forever...particularly since many of the renominations have ALREADY COMPLETED the Committee Hearing process last year in the last Congress.
So, Lindsay, stop your posturing and do what youre supposed to be doing as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee...getting the Presidents nominees out for confirmation votes. Stop running around doing things such as flying off to Turkey to pow-wow with the Islamist Erdogan and interfering with our foreign policy. YOU wanted the Judiciary Chairmans job...NOW do THAT job!

Yes, and it will be possible to confirm a HUGE number IF our Republican Senators can be shamed into working like the future of our Republic depends upon it because it really does, IMHO.
There are MANY, MANY other judicial vacancies that need to gotten to on an URGENT basis. Lindsey Graham needs to spend less time politicking and traveling overseas to interfere with Trumps foreign policy and MORE TIME FOCUSING ON JUDICIAL VACANCIES. Your spending time hobnobbing with Turkeys Islamist leader Erdogan doesnt advance Judicial confirmations, Lindsey!
The President and the Senate need to FILL QUICKLY ALL FEDERAL JUDICIAL VACANCIES. Renominate those who were still pending at the end of the last Congress and vet, recruite, and nominate new candidates for ALL the remaining vacancies. Act like the future of the Nation and the Republic depend upon it...since they may!
We have a large number of ACTUAL federal judicial vacancies. IMHO our HIGHEST PRIORITY needs to be FILLING ALL JUDICIAL VACANCIES EXISTING vacancies.
FOR THIS YEAR Id like to see the Republican Senate and the President work so, by the end of the calendar year, well be able to count the number of remaining judicial vacancies on one hand.
BOTH the Senate and President Trump need to get cracking to QUICKLY fill the MANY VACANCIES on US federal judgeships. There are over 140 vacancies of which around 70 had nominees pending in the last Congress. But there were around 70 for which Trump had not yet submitted nominees.

And there are other judgeships where near-future vacancies are known. These also need nominations in the pipeline.

I hope President Trump (and Lindsey Graham, the new Judiciary Committee Chairman) give this effort the URGENCY it needs.
TIME TO GET MOVING SENATOR GRAHAM!
IT’S KIND OF EARLY TO BE SHOUTING SO LOUDLY, ISN’T IT? TRUST ME IT DISTRACTS FROM WHAT IS PROBABLY A SOLID MESSAGE!!!
Its called EMPHASIS...not shouting. You should try it sometime where the situation calls for it. Or maybe just turn down your mental hearing aid if you perceive it as shouting.
If you need to emphasize so much, maybe your message is lacking a bit. Just my opinion. Scream on, McDuff.

Well, I hope that you think it is urgent to get our Senators (and the staffers who the President assigned responsibility to round up good nominees) actually focused on the need to rapidly fill the huge number of actual judicial vacancies (145) as well as vetting potential nominees for the additional (19) federal judges who have announced they are leaving shortly.
If you agree with this message pointing out the need for a sense of urgency, perhaps you should consider helping to advance the message. Attacking/criticizing the existing messengers is not helpful. And thats something to think about,

I agree.
Trump's first round of judicial picks in 2017 was very good.
Trump abandoned the time honored custom of asking Senators from each region to recommend judges, and he nominated his own choices, most of whom were obvious Conservatives, and almost all of them were vigorously opposed by the Democrats.
By late 2017, Trump retreated and started nominating judges endorsed by Democrat Senators.
In 2018, Trump made no attempt to defend two Conservative nominees who came under relentless attacks from the MSM/Democrats. Both judges withdrew.
Trump's last Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, told the Senate Judiciary Committee that center-left RINO Anthony Kennedy was the Justice he most admired.
How about Trump's nominee for Attorney General?
In 1991, all eight Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to confirm William Barr as Attorney General.
That was the same gang of Democrat Senators who destroyed Robert Bork, and tried to destroy Clarence Thomas.
But they voted 8-0 for William Barr
Just appoint them. Screw the Congressional approval process
This should be the main priority for the senate. Appoint many everyday
Perhaps they opted out from being in “holding” status.
There are 12 vacancies on the circuit courts. President Trump has 9 appointees pending here. Confirm them all, hurry up and nominate 3 more Strict Constructionists for the remaining 3 vacancies and the confirm them too. Were only about half way toward balancing out the damage Obama did considering he appointed 55 Leftists to the Circuit Courts.
