Why those police officers didn’t order the male on the passenger side of the car to exit the vehicle and place his hands on the roof of the vehicle is beyond me.
If they did that they could have prevented that shooting by covering each other and searching that perp before he could grab his weapon and use it.
The officers should have had a two on one to handle the male in the passenger side. Just good risk evaluation. Take him out and search/handcuff with two officers. Have the other officer cover the two young women.
The guy RAN! Regardless of HOW they pulled him out of the car, he would have run. Gun, drugs, I’m scared.
Peacefully arresting someone requires their cooperation!
