The National Rifle Association's (NRA) insurance policy known as NRA Carry Guard is for concealed carriers who want personal liability insurance. The insurance policy protects carriers from civil liability and "provides them with immediate access to attorneys, supplementary payments as needed for bail, criminal defense legal retainer fees, lawful firearm replacement, compensation while in court, psychological support and cleanup costs for any covered claim resulting from the use of a legally possessed firearm—including an act of self-defense."

Washington State Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler on Tuesday announced a ban "on the sale of illegal insurance policies branded by the National Rifle Association (NRA)," clearly referencing NRA's Guard Guard Insurance. According to Kreidler, the insurance policies are illegal because "they insure unlawful activity."

So, only criminals buy insurance? WTH? Anyway, funny thing is that on my screen there is an ad for USCCA insurance on the right side of the page. Your display may vary.

The Left wants to criminalize all the constitutional rights. They just cannot do what they want as long as free men have guns.

Being as the insurance provides legal assistance to a resident by providing a lawyer, the insurance cannot be banned, as a ban violates the Constitutional Right of the accused to contact and be represented by an attorney at all times.

It is a legal action to have an attorney on retainer.

I have $1 million personal liability under my Homeowner’s policy with USAA and they told me that it does include the use of a firearm in defense of persons or property. Years ago, it did not cover the use of a firearm because of the “intentional act” interpretation, but they changed that.

This statement is the best imaginable proof that all firearms owners in Washington State should seriously consider this insurance. The Washington State Insurance Commissioner is an evil, totalitarian thug - an enemy of all decent people.

If they are going to ban you from hiring a lawyer (which is in effect what they are doing) then I would think that would be grounds for dismissal in itself.
