At one time a few years back, I traveled to Oakland for work, maybe once per month. I did not feel safe, and I did hate being there.

Oakland (as do most Bay Area cites) looks best in one's rear view mirror.

I have no idea, none, why anyone would make a decision to move TO the crime-infested "Croakland", it makes no sense.

That said, what could be more racist than whining that people of paleness or people of color should not be able to buy houses that they can afford in the neighborhood of their choice?
