The funny part: Dreadlocks are from Greece in the era of Sparta. They later became popular among Christian ascetics of the Middle East and Southern Europe. They became popular among hippies because they didn’t look (supposedly) didn’t look sickly when the hippies went unbathed. From there, they entered the pot culture. They only became part of black culture through the pot culture, since the Rastafarians liked pot.

Wouldn’t wanna perform at a place with rules such as this anyway. They would be censoring your act as well and waiting for any potentially insensitive remark in your act. It’d be like walking on eggshells, which is far from ideal for a comedian.
