I need an etiquette guide to cultural appropriation. White people are not supposed to do dreads, cornrows, can we still rock the JewFro? And black people can still straighten their hair and even dye it blonde?
It always seems to come back to some groups being socially “higher” than others. Some can live how they wish, while others are shunned if they try. Does it really matter which groups are on top, which groups are shamed for existing? I say no.
