Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) is blogging from his road trip across the country, writing in his latest post that he has "been stuck lately ... in and out of a funk."
O'Rourke, who is mulling a 2020 Democratic presidential bid, is traveling the country after losing to Sen. Ted Cruz (R) last year in the closest Senate race the state has seen in decades.
"Have been stuck lately," O'Rourke wrote in a Medium blog post Wednesday, noting that he left Congress early this month. "In and out of a funk. My last day of work was January 2nd."
"It’s been more than twenty years since I was last not working," O'Rourke wrote. "Maybe if I get moving, on the road, meet people, learn about what’s going on where they live, have some adventure, go where I don’t know and I’m not known, it’ll clear my head, reset, I’ll think new thoughts, break out of the loops I’ve been stuck in."

maybe he’ll get out of his “funk”.....
OR....
maybe he’ll be like William Shatner in the 1962 Naked City episode (Portrait of a Painter) as the mad artist who could only love a woman the day he murdered her and tossed his head back and forth wild eyed with his face contorted while screaming as he remembered what he had just done.
Or Shatner in the classic Twilight Zone episode driven to raving lunacy by the creature only he can glimpse sabotaging the airplane as it flies.
O’Rourke could lapse into that after his funk wears off. If he wakes up in the hospital bed and sees Ocasio-Cortez and Schiff bending over him with bugged out eyeballs he may have a funk relapse.
Just speculating.

I hope and pray that he doesn’t decide to put a bullet in his head!
