The partial government shutdown has thousands of federal workers in Florida living without a paycheck right now. Without money coming in the bank, many of them are faced with a difficult decision: feed themselves or their pets. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is making sure that no federal worker has to make that call.

The shelter is giving away free pet food to qualified federal workers. The Humane Society says the food assistance program for federal workers helps in more ways than one.

Federal workers would need to provide proof before taking home food for their cats and dogs. Also, keep in mind that the food assistance program is able to help others through donations.

The dry food might work as breakfast cereal.
I could see the canned food as taco meat or in a casserole.

If I see any federal worker eating out of my dogs dishes there will be trouble!

My dogs are working dogs. They earn their keep around here and I won’t stand for some lazy dem, who is too stupid to save part of his paycheck for a rainy day, eating their food.

The Federale “workers” can open up the donated cans of tuna cat food and eat it themselves.

For sure this donated dog food is good to go in tacos. And these alleged Fed workers can slug it down with some malt liquor.

I love dogs but if you are living paycheck to paycheck the last thing you should have are pets. Not even goldfish.
