If I as a home owner in Arizona, did not have a fence around a pool that a child fell into and drowned, besides feeling like dirt and knowing I was responsible that somebody lost their life, I would be held liable both civil and probably criminal for providing an attractive nuisance...
That is EXACTLY what our country has done by kicking this open border problem down the line to the next congress for my entire voting lifetime... and WHY Trump did the exact right thing again today, we have to stay shut down until this congress changes their collective mind and quits holding 800,000 federal workers hostage in their non-negotiations.
Remember Reagan giving amnesty?? I DO! Then fast forward 20 years and Chuck and Nancy both were in congress when they passed a secure fence bill back in 2006 to allocate $50 billion for nearly 800 miles of fencing. Chuck Schumer voted for the bill, I have not found how Nancy voted on it... Do your own search, also check and see how that approved funding worked out after Obama took office... the first two years (before his administration had any say) it got 1.4 billion each year and then the rest of the money disappeared, that is $47 billion of our tax dollars that was allocated for our fencing and just disappeared...
Where did it go?? Is this part of what Obama paid Iran off for his bogus deal? Or maybe why Maxine Waters can live in a 4 million house on a meager congressional salary for the past 28 years or all of the others (from BOTH parties) that have enriched themselves in office while supposed to be serving us.
Did you notice all the republicans that did not even attempt to run again in 2018?? That was the republican side of the swamp that was allowed to walk away instead of being publicly embarrassed... which leaves the democrat swamp members that still don't understand Trump has been playing chess while they are still playing checkers. They are getting ready to understand soon... as well as a large swath of the American people that have not been paying attention for years, who WILL be voting next time. 2018 was one of the biggest turnouts of all time and not even a presidential election year... 2020 will be historic when Trump gets another 4 years.
Nancy Pelosi keeps saying (now that Trump is president) that walls are immoral... Last night President Trump gave a number of 1 of every 3 women and children making the journey across our border are raped along the way... the CBS broadcast we watched had fact checkers come on and said no it is actually 60-80%... Funny they made it WORSE! Tell me how is congress not MORALLY RESPONSIBLE for every single one of those women and children being raped. They become responsible for every single human life that is trafficked across that border both in and OUT of our country... They become responsible for every drug overdose that happens from illicit drugs walking freely across. We will hang these facts around their necks next election, I can see those commercials already, the sound bites are already out there and they write themselves! We may be watching the literal end of the democrat party... Trump has spent 2 years highlighting double standards and hypocrisy and TRYING to get congress to finally do the job the constitution mandates they do... Now that the democrats are in charge of the finances, he is hanging this around their necks and it will sink them for good if they wont secure our borders NOW!
Trump accepted the mantle for shutting the government down and the Democrats have even stole that away from him now... There have been numerous offers made giving them more and more of what they have been asking for and the only answer in return is NO WAY NO HOW. I have yet to find a democrat that will even admit Trump won an election... not sure how you can talk to anybody with their fingers in their ears screaming at the top of their lungs to avoid hearing ANY facts or offer presented.

Congress is now 100% bought and paid for. You don’t matter in the slightest.
But if I call my corrupt CA so-called representatives again they'll no doubt audit my state taxes, threaten to investigate me and or give me their usual nasty canned comments, such as, "Are you threatening me". That's one of my favorites!☺

I’ve done it. Got back form letters talking about how horrible the government shutdown is without any mention of the wall (from my senators) and no reply from my congress twit.

Nice try. I am gerrymandered into a urban black-majority district that is safe Dem. My Congressman doesn't even care about the opinions of the people who DO vote for him, let alone the ones that don't.
Most Americans are in the same boat, about 70-80% of congressional seats are drawn so the opinion of constituents doesn't matter and their Congressmen can freely ignore them without consequence no matter how much they melt down the phone lines in DC.
But the "abolish the 17th amendment" crowd says its all fine and dandy since I can still vote for my Congressman in this rigged district and therefore it reflects the founding fathers wishes. Now if we just take away my vote for Senator in the one election politicians CAN'T rig due to the fact they are unable to gerrymander statewide legislative officials, everything will be splendid.
