Spahn, a conservative heavyweight among Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats who recently lost a contest to become the party's leader, described a knock-on effect of countries attracting doctors from neighboring countries, as is the case with Switzerland taking in German physicians.
"I can understand them. Switzerland is a beautiful country. But what is clear is that there is a shortage of these professionals in Germany. And then Polish doctors work in our country, and in turn there is a shortage of them in Poland," he told Swiss tabloid Blick am Sonntag.

So the guy is suggesting that doctors should function under house arrest? Will they be able to vacation in Florida or will the government be afraid they won’t return?

How could they prevent a German doctor from going to Switzerland anyway? I guess they could institute some sort of EU residency rule. But then a smart German doctor would just emigrate to the United States.
These are the same people who take children away from their parents because the parents want to home school for religious reasons. Germans are dictators at heart because they think they are so intelligent. Anyone who looks at their migration mess and their repeated election of Angela Merkel knows that is delusional.

Pay your doctors more.
Work to attract more people to the profession.
It always works.
Cure worse than the disease. Plus, as often as one needs a doctor, take a train to Switzerland or Poland, very environmentally responsible. And the worry is irrelevant, the Islamics don't generally merely wound.
But, but, health care is a right!! Fix it, doc ... it's your duty to the state.

Ve haf vays! Seriously though, if this is how it is in West Europe then it’s got to be terrible in places like India and Pakistan. The hospital I work in , in NJ, has a medical staff that comprises at least 95% East Indian and Pakistani doctors.
