WASHINGTON, DC – National networks and pundits are breathlessly repeating rumors that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will imminently be leaving the Supreme Court and that the White House is preparing for an all-out confirmation war. But parts of those reports are definitely false, and the rest may be false as well. Ginsburg had surgery on December 21 to remove cancerous nodules from one of her lungs. The cancer was discovered when doctors were treating her for broken ribs that she suffered as a result of a fall in her chambers.
This week she is still recovering at home from the surgery and thus missed oral arguments at the Court. She read the legal briefs and transcripts of this week’s cases, however, and will participate in those decisions.

Ginsberg is such a Trump hater that she will never leave of her own volition. She’ll die in office.

Says who? Where’s the proof? For all we know some staff member or someone from the ACLU can be doing her so called writing and making the decisions. Roberts the Chief Justice should visit her and a determination should be made if she’s competent, if not she should and can be removed from office.
This makes it even more important to impeach Trump !
If he is not impeached soon then he could wildly swing the power of the court. Hillary and Obama could be arrested tomorrow for the FISA violations but Roberts could be counted on fighting Trump
But if Ruth is replaced, then the Supreme Court might not side with the RATS. With Trump gone, the RATS could argue that the next Judge can’t be picked until 2020. Chuck and Nancy want to be reasonable and wait so he RAT President can replace Trump. It is the right thing to do. /sarc

I think you are right. In the very least totally incapacitated.
I really don’t see her working. By letting her work at home, she gets to avoid coming to work.
I would grant her, the usual and customary convalescence of 6 weeks, and then expect her back to work. I would not even demand that she review cases during those 6 weeks.
After six weeks, she should be required to return to the bench to hear cases.
Politico is left wing. Why would they spread this rumor unless true?
