Missing teen Jayme Closs was found alive and a suspect is in custody, the Barron County Sheriff's Department reported on its Facebook page Thursday night.
Jayme vanished early Oct. 15 when sheriffs deputies, responding to a 911 call, found the door to her familys home near Barron kicked in. Her parents, James, 56, and Denise, 46, were found shot to death, but Jayme was missing. She had not been seen or heard from since.

The final chapter of this story may not have been written. The police will have to check her social media and other communications carefully. Let’s hope that she did not have contact with her “kidnappers” prior to her “abduction”. There may be more to the story. These are strange times.
You know what. Guys like this should be used for crash dummies. Save some money, and get rid of them too.
Unless there’s something going on here I don’t know about, I’d like to see some frontier justice come back into vogue.
Wyatt arrested July 30 2018 for forgery counterfeit and stolen property.
Need to know more. Youre assuming she didnt arrange and go along with what they did to her parents.
Who remembers Stark and Meriweather? I hope it isn’t. I can’t believe how quick those names came to mind after 60 yrs.
I hope it isn’t “similar”.
There are a lot more on there. Since July 2018, there are 8 felony charges.
I do.
Amazing
The door was kicked in- it’s not as if she left it unlocked for them.
Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate.
They killed 11 people in Nebraska and Wyoming in 1958. He was sentenced to death and ultimately electrocuted. She was sentenced to life but later paroled. She is still living. Fugate was 14 years old at the time of the murder spree.
I have read elsewhere that the suspects I posted are not the ones for this case. I reported my post, hoping it will be removed.
Sure no one ever fakes things or does stuff to make things look a certain way. And kids are so innocent and naive they never scheme to kill their parents.
Why that story i read the other day of the two girls who killed their mom after she took their cell phones away after they tried to run her down with her own car, why stuff like that hever happens in this innocent day and age.
I just said more needs to be known about what happened. It could very well be a case this was a plan between the boys and her.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that a source with knowledge of the investigation said Jayme escaped from a home and approached a neighbor, identifying herself and asking the neighbor to call 911.
It’s possible this girl or even her parents were simply too chatty on social media and gave away too much info or posted public photos of themselves that attracted these guys, and people collect a lot of “friends” that aren’t when they impulsively friend everyone who asks. It’s easy to chat with someone online and with just a few clicks see virtually everything about them, including their routine, and even where and when they dropped into a place for lunch in live time, and find where people’s homes are, complete with surrounding neighbors and maps, places to hide, thanks to Google Earth, etc. It’s a criminal’s dream.
She looks old for her age in some photos, which would attract scum, and it sounds like her house was right on a convenient stretch of road, maybe not too many neighbors home with a direct line of sight to the house. And when you live right on a road in plain view from the road there’s always a risk some impulsive or drug addled scumbag might make a bad descision when he sees something he wants.
It’s just that so far no one’s mentioned any particular detail or evidence that would point to her other than it’s happened in other cases. In other cases there were signs of trouble like running away from home or spoiling. Have you seen anything in the reporting that she’s a party girl at 13, a runaway, or been in trouble at school? All I’ve seen is one pic where her expression looks a bit like creepy Strzok’s for whatever reason, in the other two there’s no such impression.
This muddies the water for us armchair detectives. This from the 911 linked story at the site.
“The text of the call log, which was shared in full by WTMJ in Milwaukee, also indicates that the door to the home was kicked in. Officials reported that the “male who is down” answered the door, but it is unclear if that means he answered the door for his killer or for responders. “
Lots of folks said the state could save some money by strapping Fugate in Stariweather’s lap and fry them together.
