Michael Cohen, the former personal lawyer and fixer for President Donald Trump, has agreed to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in February — a month before beginning to serve a three-year prison sentence for a range of crimes which include ones related to Trump.

Cohen's planned Feb. 7 appearance in an open session of the committee is voluntary.

He said it will give him the opportunity "to give a full and credible account of the events that have transpired."

The hearing will come two-and-a-half months months after he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress in 2017 about details of an aborted Trump real-estate project in Moscow, Russia.

Democrats will milk it for all its worth.

The testimony of a liar and convicted felon. Fake news will hype it.

Of course it’s “voluntary” especially since he waited until the dems were in control to make another circus monkey out of him.

He lied on his own. And I’m not even sure why. It made no difference that the possibility of a Russian Tower ended in January or July.

Every day definitions change. What’s the definition today for voluntary?

In my opinion, he can’t give them anything he already hasn’t disclosed through the Special Counsel, or Mueller will hit him with withholding evidence.

Can Trump sue him for breach of confidentiality, as his attorney during the period? Also can he disbarred? I know he would be required to tell a grand Jury, but if your private attorney reveals your confidential talks to a third party, not a grand jury, what are the consequences. He must have to going to answer, attorney client privilege a lot of times.

And even if he does what to believe? That he was telling the truth to the special counsel or to them?

This is all about ‘tainting’ Trump further in the eyes of the public. CNN will have their High Holy Day all day as will the other media outlets

He wasn’t Trump’s lawyer; he was a fixer. Trump didn’t confide anything important to him.

All he can talk about is sex. No one cares.

This sounds like a deal.

Attack Trump and tell prearranged and scripted lies about Trump and Cohen will be greatly rewarded. Tell the truth and Cohen goes back to prison and probably faces more charges.

The HOR think they are going to find that Trump might have committed money laundering. Trust me, if he did, Mueller would have it already. LOL
