Hey, I have a similar photo, but no worries as our children are adopted. I used to joke with Mrs. Sivana that if our child won't look like us physically, I'd be fine with the child looking as different from us as possible so that anyone with two brain cells will be able to figure out there there were no other marriages or trysts. As my wife is VERY fair complected (half-Dutch, rest mostly northern European), that is how it worked out for two of our children.

The better case to make is that children where a valuable commodity at the time and the male spouse had full control over them. He could send them away or keep them. This law stripped the bio dad of any rights. Now of course a father cannot simply punt a child to an orphanage.

The PBS show has a storyline and scene about Ross Poldark learning that another man is going to raise his son and Poldark could do nothing about it.

Top this! Know a guy he divorced wife one to marry wife two who already had two kids because she was carrying his kid. After they marry and the child is delivered she has another. So now she has 2 from 2 prior marriages and 2 from her marriage to him. He then agrees to adopt the 2 priors so that all 4 can have the same name. Then he finds out the first isn’t his so he divorces her and in the proceedings find out the 2nd isn’t his.

Ends up on the hook for all four! He tried to undo the adoption. No luck. He tried to get out supporting the two from his marriage and the judge took literally one minute to you where married to her when they where born so by law they are yours.

After the ruling he dropped out of society and has never worked a day since.
