Drugs and syringes have become such a problem in Starbucks bathrooms that the company is installing needle-disposal boxes in certain locations
Starbucks is installing boxes for safe disposal of syringes in the bathrooms of certain locations, following workers' reports of discarded needles and sometimes concerning conditions.
The coffee giant is exploring remedies after employees expressed fears about being pricked by uncapped needles and experiencing related health risks. Starbucks is testing solutions, including installing sharps-disposal boxes, using heavier-duty trash bags to prevent needle pokes, and removing trash cans from certain bathrooms.

What about TB guards and Hep C/D/E filters?
who in the right mind would ever want to visit such a place?
Not going near one of those.
Nor I.
They are going to rue the day they turned thier place into a public restroom.
Nor I.
They are called Sharps Box.
Never been to one, never will.
The loons are welcome to their $175/cup coffee and the asylum atmosphere in which to slurp it.
Maybe karma most often acts in tiny little ways such as this .. LOL
Many places install them for insulin dependent diabetics. They are certainly in casino bathrooms (I worked at Foxwoods as a contractor).
My. How advanced and progressive they are! So forward and hip and accommodating! /s
public restroom, begging centre, and drug den
you’d think a competitor infiltrated some moles into Star*ucks to destroy it from within
Their slide down the slippery slope continues & is picking up speed. Coffee is bad. Attitude is bad (liberal). Now the stores are unsafe ... unsavory non-customers hanging out, needles, drugs ....
Can’t wait to see what’s next! /sarc
This requires a special type of Stupid
Short Starbucks stock

In all my years on this planet, I have been in a Starbucks exactly once...to meet a guy about business. I had a soft drink...not that putrid coffee.
In the years since, probably 15, I have heard so much negative about it, and I now consider it an “unclean” place, and their recent cooperation with the drug crowd and affiliation with liberals has convinced me of it.
That is a really good point, and a good reason to have the boxes, but if that were the primary reason it likely would have been done years ago, and Starbuck's corporate would be crowing about it.
Most diabetics I know responsibly handle their own wastes
Heroin addicts, not so much
The problem isn't Starbucks policy on bathroom usage, it is disrespectful and irresponsible humans.
So, they have a lot of Customers who are Diabetic?
I guess I should have read all the earlier Posts before I made my comment. LOL
Great minds and all that jazz.
