U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise abruptly ended an online debate over Twitter with freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after the New York Democratic Socialist’s “radical supporters” began referencing the assassination attempt on his life.
“Snipe his a–,” one Twitter user wrote, in support of Ocasio-Cortez, Fox News reported, adding that the user went on to deny that the post was a call for violence, writing, “not seeing any violence there sorry.” The user eventually told Fox News the reference was to verbal “sniping.”

With progressives, you don’t quit when they attack you along emotional lines, you go after then. You make them hurt.
Let’s say you take at face value the poster’s assertion that his “sniping” reference was about verbal sniping, not about Scalise having already been shot, nor a call for someone else to try again. Coming from someone whose side is all about “trigger warnings” and “microaggressions,” how is that comment in any way defensible? He can’t conceive that a man who nearly died in a politically motivated shooting might actually have PTSD, and would reasonably be sensitive about sniping references? It’s an unbelievably callous thing to have written.
This might be somewhat shallow thinking on my part, but I feel like the best thing to do with this new congressperson from New York is to ignore her. Like the Lady of the lake in the Excalibur stories, if you ignore her she will...go away.
Is the FBI going to get involved?
If this continues, there is no way we continue without suffering accelerated violence and possibly a civil war.
I personally don't think Scalise should have stopped responding - unless he has contacted the secret service and they are going to hunt these people down and arrest them.
We are seeing here the inevitable slide of leftists into violence. It has happened with every society that they have taken over. First, they talk about it, then as they become more bold, they act on it.

Most violence in our nation is gang bangers, drug dealers and illegal aliens. Sometimes one person is all three, MS-13 is such.
99% of political violence is by progressive, leftist Marxists. Violence is in their blood by training and indoctrination. In their philosophy this is just another tool to achieve power. To them is is justifiable and worthy of praise.

Threats from the left are no match for harsh and sternly written posts authored by patriots.
I would then add that being unable to defend your positions verbally was generally a sign of having flawed and indefensible positions, and that resorting to threats of violence, or real violence, to cover up your inability to defend your ignorance is the mark of intolerance and cowardice.
