Gov. Scott appoints slain MSD student's father to state Board of Education ( Broward county)

The father of a student shot and killed during the Parkland school massacre has been appointed to the state Board of Education, Gov. Rick Scott announced Friday evening.

For 52-year-old Andy Pollack, it is all about accountability.

“That word has haunted me since my daughter was murdered,” Pollack, of Coral Springs, said Friday night.

His daughter, Meadow, 18, a senior, was shot nine times during the Valentine’s Day shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Meadow’s body was found in a third-floor hallway. She was lying on top of the body of 14-year-old freshman Cara Loughran, as if protecting her.

Pollack’s term on the board began Friday and ends Dec. 31, 2022. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Ex-student Nikolas Cruz has confessed to killing 17 and wounding another 17 that day.

“What I hope to accomplish is accountability at a local level, to hold school boards accountable and superintendents accountable,” Pollack said.

So something that would get you disqualified during jury selection as potentially coloring one’s judgment or impartiality is now seen as a resume enhancement.

He’s the one parent on our side of the 2A. I think he’s a retired NYPD officer. Very very critical of Scott Israel and the BCSO response.

Andy Pollack is a good guy.

President Trump invited Mr. Pollack to the White House and Mr. Pollack accepted.

In addition, Andy Pollack received threats last year when he was seen wearing a Trump 2020 T-shirt.

Broward is a Democratic county, Hillary Clinton won 66 percent of the vote in 2016 ..

Broward County deputies were told not to go into the High School to protect the kids during the mass shooting... Coral Gables City PD did not. They entered the school.

Democrat Sheriff Israel ignored the repeated warnings re: Nikolas Cruz and blamed everyone but himself. Allowing law-breaking minority teens to go uncharged to keep their official criminal numbers low. Bonu$ to the Broward bureaucrats.

The federal PROMISE program ( designed by Jesse Jackson , Barry, Eric Holder, and pals) prevented Nikolas Cruz from getting arrested. = kickbacks all around.

His deputies hid while children were being murdered.

During the hours following the parkland shooting while he was desperately searching for his daughte, he was photographed wearing a Trump MAGA Tshirt. The crazys on FB and Twitter excoriated him for that. Blaming him in part for his support of Trump and the NRA. He’s a conservative man who has been a primary critic of Sheriff Israel and the lack of accountability by the school district and law enforcement.

Pollack is a good guy. Believes in 2nd amendment rights. Big Trump supporter, since the shootings.

These Parkland cops must have good security. If I had a been one of the parent of victims, I would have shot them.

“These Parkland cops must have good security. If I had a been one of the parent of victims, I would have shot them.”

Yes, and that’s still a possibility! I will bet you that Peterson is in a “witness protection program” somewhere far, far from Florida. And If I were Scott Israel, I’d be considering the same program. You have to wonder just when will someone take vengeance against these awful RATs? Personally, If I were to read that either of them were “taken out,” it would bring a smile to my face. All those beautiful young lives needlessly snuffed out by a “feel good” program designed to keep criminal kids from suffering the consequences of their acts against society.

“Gun grabber or reasonable dude?”

He’s great. He and his sons are active in the conservative movement. Boldly supported Trump. I think his sons work with Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk at Turning Point USA. Pollack is a good appointment.

Now to get Israel behind bars...

For Andy Pollack, it's all about accountability. “What I hope to accomplish is accountability at a local level,
to hold (A) school boards accountable, and, (B) superintendents accountable,” Pollack said of his appointment.

Pollack's daughter died needlessly. The entire Broward L/E and its school officials were bought off By Obama's
idiotic Promise plan. $58M federal tax dollars poured in, as long as these bozos kept minorities off the arrest records.

POLLACK HAS PLENTY TO DO: "Happy Days" pic of imbecile Sheriff Israel and the resident beast from Broward, Cong Debbie W/S.

Congressman usually help secure federal monies for their district. What part did D/W/S play
in securing the $58 million bribes, er, I mean tax dollars Obama showered on
Broward for keeping minorities off the arrest roles?

Can these money-hungry SOB's account for the $58 million .....and the $800 million Sheriff's budget?

=======================================

Also "in charge" that infamous day was Obama's hand picked pal from Chicago----Broward County School Supt, Robert Runcie. Incidentally, Runcie is reportedly sitting on a $900 million dollar school bond issue that he refuses to spend.

Runcie is swimming in money-----he got a $28,000 raise and additional benefits under his contract. The deal brings Runcie’s salary to $335,000 and extends his employment through June 30, 2023.

Under his new contract, Runcie would:
--Be able to trade in 15 of his 29 vacation days for a cash value of $20,500.
-- Get $48,000 contributed annually from the school board for retirement plans
-- Be allowed to earn a pension based on four years of his service in Chicago,
estimated to cost taxpayers $80,000.

A the salary hearing, more than 30 Broward people lined up to praise Runcie’s work since he started in 2011. Leaders of local community organizations, businesses and schools praised improved student achievement, Runcie’s communication skills and inclusion and protection of immigrants and minorities under Obama's vaunted "Promise" plan. Then the massacre took place.

Earlier, Runcie was named Supt of The Year.

Here's what you get when you unleash the atrocity of "diversity."

Jan Jordan, is the Broward police captain who told sheriff's deputies to 'stage' and form a perimeter outside
Stoneman Douglas High School as students and teachers were being massacred inside on February 14.

Jan Jordan, 49, was in charge of deputies who responded to the first calls of the shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Imbecile Sheriff Scott Israel had placed Office Captain Jan Jordan in charge of the school massacre scene.

Jordan denied deployment of two Rescue Task Force teams that had arrived.

Three paramedics and 3-4 officers had rushed to the scene to help---but Jordan denied them entry.

Obama blanketed Broward with $53 Million in Federal
Grants for keeping criminal minorities off arrest roles

By S.Noble, February 26, 2018

The story of Nikolas Cruz and the shooting of 33 former classmates and staff is the repeated failures of the system from the FBI to the school to the sheriff’s office to social services. The massacre was very foreseeable but politics got in the way. Specifically, Obama's bribery of more than $53 million.

This Was Obama-Chicago Discipline----The Superintendent of Broward County Schools, Robert Runcie, came out of Chicago and the Duncan-Obama administration. In 2003, Arne Duncan, then Chicago school district head and later Obama' Secretary of Education tapped Runcie to oversee the district’s technology department. Runcie went on to serve in other administrative roles, including as chief of staff for the Bd of Ed, before becoming the Broward schools superintendent in 2011.

In 2016, Runcie made $335,000 a year (this in a region that has poor mental health services due to lack of funds). He was well-paid to alter the so-called school-to-prison pipeline as a result of Obama's Promise program.

The Promise----The school board instituted a program which made not reporting criminal behavior a standard policy. Police said they did not have discretion in arrests, according to the President of the Sheriff’s union. The Promise [acronym for Preventing Recidivism through Opportunities, Mentoring, Interventions, Support, and Education] program kept Nikolas Cruz from getting arrested. Not having a record allowed him to buy guns.

The program began in 2012 as a way of dealing with the district recording the highest number of school-related arrests statewide (over 1,000). Superintendent Runcie, with strong connections to Obama, was expected to stop the alleged school-to-prison pipeline.

The program was geared towards keeping minorities out of prison. The killer’s name was Cruz, making him a minority. An agreement was drawn up with police and community organizations like the NAACP which kept kids out of jail based on race but didn’t necessarily deal with the issues they had.

Principals, instead of school resource officers [sheriffs], became the primary decision makers in responding to student misbehavior. Misdemeanors were supposed to be overlooked but records suggest more serious crimes were ignored to keep the money flowing. The district had to continually show improvement in statistics. There is no question the serious threats by Cruz to shoot up the school were reported to the sheriff’s office and he ignored them. Nothing was reported and nothing was ever done. This was the school/police policy.

$53 Million in Grants---With a cooperative judge and the Superintendent’s tight connections to the Obama administration, arrests were down 66% within one year of Runcie’s arrival. Grant money started flowing into the school district. The school district initially received over $53 million in grants to facilitate “improved life for students in poverty/students of color.”

The entire program was corrupted by free-flowing funds.

The mindset on that fateful say was not the protection of students but to "keep Obama happy and the money flowing."

Hope leftist heads roll and jobs disappear, plus lawsuits up the Tallahassee River.

This is what happens when Democrats take over and ruin a once Republican area (I worked for a Broward County Republican congressman many years ago, and he was sane).
