Exactly. A briefing is where someone conveys information. A conference is where people have a discussion. She needs to learn the difference.

It is most commonly associated to sitting down and LISTENING. Not about asking questions.

The kids who went into journalism when I was in college were awful. The only people who did less work were the education majors.
