The Trump administration announced an unscheduled surprise briefing in the White House briefing room on Thursday, one in which President Donald Trump actually addressed the gathered media in person.
The impromptu event began with press secretary Sarah Sanders in her familiar spot behind the podium as Border Patrol officials filed on to the stage behind her. However, Sanders almost immediately turned the floor over to a “special guest” who would address the reporters.
The president began by wishing all of the reporters a happy new year and graciously congratulated Nancy Pelosi on being named Speaker of the House again, and suggested that the two of them would work closely together on a number of issues in the near future, such as on an infrastructure bill and other matters, which “will be a little bit different than a lot of people are thinking.”
Trump then issued high praise for the group of men standing behind him, prior to turning the floor over to them to share their first-hand knowledge of the need for border security — including a wall or barrier — to stem the tide of illegal immigration, drug and human trafficking and other cross-border crimes.
First up was Brandon Judd, a U.S. Border Patrol agent and president of the National Border Patrol Council, who immediately thanked the president for his staunch support for the men and women of the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

It is slightly amusing because Trump knows that Pelosi is a vainglorious old fool who is at least partially susceptible to flattery.
Trump is doing a PR blitz on the wall funding - keeping the Dims on the defensive.
Commies don’t want a wall because it WORKS..it will prevent their illegal alien VOTERS from entering the country...that is what they fear, each one of these illegals represents a Democrat vote(Actually more than 1 vote since these slime balls come into our country with different aliases)
Took no questions leaving them with nothing to report but the material spoken about by the support group. It’s a “just the facts mam” which is almost impossible to spin.

I have a message for furloughed Federal Government workers not currently receiving pay checks.
You folks will only waste your time and energy on pleading with & for POTUS, Donald J. Trump to end the partial Federal Government Shutdown. That, Fed employees ain’t gonna work.
There is only one way for you folks to get back to work, and that is to prod, pressure and cajole Democrats, Chuck Schumer & Nancy Pelosi and their Democrat dregs to cave in and give POTUS Trump at least 5.7 Billion dollars to build the Border Wall. Shucks, maybe Trump should demand the full 25 billion bucks for the Border Security!!!
Otherwise...you will be without incoming paychecks for a very long time!!! Wise up, fools, the Pelosi, Kabuki show you witnessed today and this evening is totally D.O.A. in the Senate & get a POTUS Veto, and it is going nowhere but the nearest waste basket!!! Of course, walls work.
But a double row of tall fences topped with concertina wire and patrolled on parallel roads would work too.
Schumer said he would support that kind of fencing in a recent CBS interview. Trump should call him out on that.
