Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) are set to become the first female Republican senators to serve on the Judiciary Committee.
Blackburn, who is succeeding Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), and Ernst are being named to the high-profile panel, according to a roster released by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday. The committee assignments are expected to be approved by the full Senate next week.

Rs have a two seat edge as a result of the November election.
Big task ahead is to push through a backlog of judicial nominees.
Blackburn is solid. But isn’t Joni Ernst a never-Trumper?
Doesnt matter with Flake gone. No single GOP senator can hold up
a confirmation vote.
Which is why Trump worked so hard to increase the GOP Senate majority.
The significance, of course, is the next time the Left wants to fake a rape charge against a judicial nominee, we will have two women to lead the defense.
Although Ernst didn’t support Trump during the Iowa primary, she did support him during the election.
No, she is a slow Trumper.
No I think its 11-9.
If McConnell had any balls, he would have reduced the committee by one on the Dem side and kept the same number on the Rep side. The Dems would have been forced to choose between Booker or Kamala Harris — the loser leaves the committee. This committee has enough drama queens already and should be reduced in size. Instead, Mitch added a Rep seat which doesn’t really affect the Rep side in a positive manner. This could have been payback for the Dem’s obstructing Trumps judicial nominees. Instead, the turtle just goes and along to get along.
Should ensure Romney is on the Ag. committee ... can regulate bull sh!t.
Josh Hawley is the third. So it’ll be 12-10.
