In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Senator-elect Mitt Romney (R-UT) expounds on his controversial op-ed that attacked President Trump.

"What I did in my op-ed was not just talk about the president and my relationship with him and how we’ll work together, but also I laid out my perspectives and priorities on a very broad basis on everything from trade to China to our allies around the world, immigration and so forth," Romney said.

Romney told Tapper while he is "not looking for the next election," he has not decided who will endorse in 2020.

"I haven’t decided who I’m going to endorse in 2020. I’m going to wait and see what the alternatives are," Romney said.

Yes and that is just on ONE comment he made. He’s been savaged pretty good on there since his little deep state CNN comments. I’m sure that’s why we are seeing the backpedaling.

Talk about hubris!!!!!

I think he believes he is co-president with President Trump!

I don’t think, that between his treatment of dogs (I shall despise him for that, forever) and his betrayal of our President, he will not survive six years.

Thus, this illustrates why he never rose to the mantle of the presidency.

Romney and Republicans like him are a big part of the reason Trump won. He never had the well being of his own citizens in focus.

It is good that the cover is being lifted off these Republican Deep State-ers. We cannot make progress into lies and truth until the deceivers and the exploiters are revealed. Our people are suffering. Everyone here should try to get a transcript of Tucker Carlson’s opening statement tonight about where America is and what has happened to her under the Deep State-ers in Washington D.C. He clearly lays out how government policy has now created the same problems in Middle America which have destroyed cities like Detroit, making them poor and dependent upon a government which does not care about them or about the nation at large. They only care about their personal power and wealth. This has to stop, folks. This nation is being brought to it’s knees because human connectedness among our citizens is disappearing, beginning with the family. We have work to do. Let’s get to it!

Mitt may be ex Gov of Mass, the 2012 Presidential nominee and a rock star in his own mind, but to Old Bull arrogant egotist Senators good old Mitt is just one thing and one thing only- the freshman Junior Senator from Utah, a fact Mitt will be reminded of on a daily basis

Exactly! Despite his background, the idea that Romney thinks so much of himself as an incoming freshman senator that he felt the need to inform us of “my perspectives and priorities on a very broad basis on everything from trade to China to our allies around the world, immigration and so forth"” while he couldn't muster a tenth of that gumption for the remainder of his presidential campaign after winning his first debate with Bathhouse Barry, tells us all we need to know about Romney. He's going to be worse than a backbencher because he's already proving to be a useful idiot for the RATS which again underlines how the failure of the Republican party to get more Senate seats that were there for the taking will bite us in the keister over and over.

He’s in favor of a wall. That’s more important than his blab about the horrible Trump.

“It is good that the cover is being lifted off these Republican Deep State-ers.”

Your post is a good one and spot on.

We’ve been hoodwinked by some portion of the Republican Party starting in 2010. We gave them more power in 2010, 2012, 2014 and have really gotten nothing.

No promises kept.

We broke through in 2016 with a real fighter who’s truly on our side (for once), and now we get to see the true color of the Deep State backstabbers.

I really eschew the Republican/Democrat labels these days.

2016 has shown us that there’s not a dimes difference in reality.

“Republican” means much less today than it used to.

This is how you will work together, Mitt:

raise your hand when you hear “junior senator from Utah”

and feel free to not speak in public. Ever Again.

Romney can work on getting some integrity. And, perhaps then some gonads will mysteriously appear.

Trump ought to hold a MAGA rally in Utah and invite Mitt. Mitt either shows up and gets booed, or he’s a no-show and Trump calls him out on it. It would be a much needed lesson.

THAT would be outstanding! Plus, make the entire rally about The Wall! Watch Willard squirm.

Mittens was stupid enough to think his dumping on President Trump would be greeted with what? Cheering? People thinking he’s the second coming? Man, Romney is denser than a fruitcake.

"I’m really not looking for the next election and the next spot," Romney said. "I’m looking to try and represent things I think our country needs at a critical time, and I do believe that a president like any leader in a home, in a church, in a school, in a business, a leader has an impact not just on policies, but also on the character of the people who get to watch that person. And I think that scenario the president needs to focus more attention and hopefully make some changes there. And by the way, I expect people will have some suggestions for how I could do a better job, too, and I’m open to that."

I have a suggestion. STFU you duplicitous bastard.
