I see AOC and President Trump as different sides of the same coin. They were both elected by people who are sick and tired of the DC establishment and want to shake things up.

The right succeeded in electing President Trump despite all odds. The left tried with Bernie Sanders but were thwarted by a corrupt DNC. Ocasio definitely represents the frustrated Sanders wing of the party.

While philosophically opposed on most issues, they are united in a shared loathing of the Swamp.

Let's not get carried away here. AOC got elected by something like 17,000 voters. She got elected because her opponent didn't take her seriously while she busted her tail and knocked on doors and got her voters to the polls. That's about the only thing I give her credit for. Other than that, she's a ditz who belongs in a Valley Girls video remake...
