The Republicans had two years to address illegal immigration and chose not to.

Except for the Trumpster. Thank, God.

Yes, and the next two General Elections will put 43 "Republican" Senators up for re-election. It remains to be seen if Trump will take up the mantle of developing and running opposition candidates against most of them, because left on their own, these feckless turds will likely all be re-elected unless they finally decide to flick it in and retire, or are forcibly “retired” by death.

Your graphic is spot on, and it’s why we should all be very scared. To think that one man stands between us and our becoming Venezuela should jar us into concertedly helping him by electing decent, Constitutionalists to our government. Now here we are with yet another two year hiatus wherein we have to watch the RATS antics and obstructive behavior after eight years of “Te Commie/Mooslim Negro!” A lesser individual than Trump would be thoroughly justified in saying “I quit, this country doesn’t deserve my help!” Thankfully, Trump isn’t a “lesser individual!”

We vetted the 9/11 folks real well, too. And the San Bernardino killers. And the Boston Bombers and their family and Mueller closed their file saying they weren’t terrorists after Russia, England and Saudi Arabia all told him differently. And...

We had to have the Senate vet McCain but no one vetted obamy.

You have made the point of how important it is for every person who cares for this country to make a sincere effort of recruiting at least one new Trump supporter in the next two years.

If just one out of five people who helped win the 2016 election would bring a new voter to the polls we would crush the progressives.

What we do beginning right now can alter the 2020 election of which the outcome will alter the course of history for a long time to come.

The GOP was founded as the successor to the Whigs. It represented Clay's American System of high tariffs, subsidization of politically connected banks and railroad promoters and various forms of crony capitalism and what Hamilton called ‘national grandeur’ projects. The Republicans were always the party of finance capital and heavy industry and big business in general. They later became the party of armament manufacturers. That is why the US Navy officer corps was overwhelmingly Republican for decades. The GOP was not particularly pro military but pro manufacturers of military hardware. The Army was the party the Dems favored until Viet Nam when they realized their voter Base was shifting right so ‘screw the dumb soldiers’ became one of their secret passwords. The Republicans continue to be loyal servitors of the US Chamber of Commerce which represents the low wage capitalists who know endless waves of turd world serfs mean US workers will never be able to challenge what ever deal they are offered. The current GOP is symbolized by the Bush family which uses a symbiotic relationship between politics and connected business and financial institutions to pile up wealth and power and despise the average American middle class person as much as old Prescott Bush ever did. They have just learned to smile and utter words such as’compassion’ , ‘acts of love’. etc.

Truth in every word! So it is now the imperative of true Conservatives who are devoid of the banking/ business nexus, to “vote the GOPE off the Island!” I heard one of the “Cock” Bros. on TV describing “their political philosophy.” Basically he said they back the Republicans only slightly more than the RATs because they can use them more effectively in the furtherance of their business interests. In other words, these cretins see America not as a country but simply as a convenient “customer base” for the stuff that the sell. They really are not concerned about America for its “founding principles,” but only that it continues to be a “good marketplace.”

Many corporate types now feel this way. Something happened to the American upper class between 1955 or so and 1965. The number of Harvard alums, a lot enlisted people, listed on the memorial plaques at the school memorial drop dramatically from Korea to Viet Nam and enlisted alums who were killed fell to one or two. I don't know what happened but something did to the rather sturdy patriotism many upper class men felt. The only rich girl I ever dated’s father seemed favorably impressed that I had served in Viet Nam. He was a 1st Lt who nearly died of wounds in the Huertgen Forest. He really hated all the ‘university draft dodgers’ as he called them. So perhaps freepers from the country club can offer some explanation. These people certainly were not pro-communist just ‘pro-me’ as one guy said.

“The Republicans had two years to address illegal immigration and chose not to.”

And don’t forget the 8 years of Bush 43.

His idea of “addressing” illegal immigration was to try to ram through another amnesty.

The best President that Mexico ever had.
