IF the “Shutdown” weren’t being reported in the “Media”, I seriously doubt that anybody would notice or care.

Pretty much. As far as I can determine, the so called shutdown has made ZERO difference to my life.
Especially since most of the “non essentials” and likely “essentials” have the Christmas holiday week off anyway....
