I know a few young women, blonde, slim and pretty, who would rather be dead then involved with a normal white guy. They date dregs, scum and derelicts of society, looking for who-knows-what.

They want "bad boys" rather than nice guys. Nice guys are boring, bad boys are exciting.

My advice to young men: BE a man. Be somebody who is not to be messed with. The biological role of the male is to be the protector, and to defend his territory. Being a "nice" doormat will only earn you contempt. (This does not mean I encourage criminal abuse).

They were studying outdoor tourism at a Norwegian university so this may have been part of their curriculum... and they chose poorly... probably didn’t want to do their projects in places that already have Hilton’s is my guess

And BTW, there are some myths from foreign propaganda that should be debunked. Islamic State is against the Saudis. IS gets its funding not from nations but from many individuals in several Arab countries, by taking resources, etc. IS is popular with many individuals around the Middle East.

The proper role for the CIA and NSA would be to discover the identities of the people giving financial support to ISIS. Then go kill them, no matter who they are, no matter where they are. Even if they are members of the super-rich, or of royal families.

So it’s mostly a victim thing. Naivete about Islam the religion can go along with that. They could have been attracted to the religion, but we don’t necessarily know that yet. Sometimes people are so mad as some in their own society that they embrace anybody they see as different or as a victim.
