Trump has discussed firing Fed chief after latest interest rate hike: report

President Trump has discussed firing Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell after the central bank announced this week that it would raise interest rates, Bloomberg reports.

**SNIP**

Powell publicly pushed back against the president earlier this month after Trump tweeted urging the Fed to resist raising interest rates, citing a stock market selloff.

“I know, and everyone who works at the Fed knows, that we’re going to do our jobs the way we’ve always done them,” Powell said at a press conference at the time.

Trump previously said in October that he would "maybe" regret selecting Powell to succeed the Federal Reserve's previous chairwoman, Janet Yellen, who resigned in November 2017.

There is no reason to slow down economic growth with higher interests rates.

Higher rates signal a return to normal after a decade of intervention.

Where's your evidence that these higher rates hurt economic growth?

Where's the evidence that the President's choice for Fed Chair is politically motivated against him?

No hikes in 8 years and 8 hikes in less then 2 years under Trump. They are helping wall street who is not America’s friend but only help themselves no matter who else is negatively affected.

Or just eliminate the Federal Reserve. Then you don’t have to worry about who is the chairman.

Obama appointed Powell to the Fed. But it was Trump - not Obama - who appointed Powell to the powerful position of chairman. So I have the same question as Freeper duckman:

Does Prez Trump still have problems picking personnel or are the candidates just lying to him?

Read “The Creature from Jeckyll Island”. The Fed was concocted on that island by Rothschild cronies. Rothschild bragged “give me control of a nation’s money, I car we not what laws they make.”

Steve Forbes would not extend his personal feelings for Pres. Trump to the financial detriment of America.

Yep, Something I have been digging into for many years now. I just wish more would educate themselves to these world banking cabal realities.

It’s huge... It’s powerful... And they have absolutely no scruples. Even human life has no meaning to them. And if you want to know who they are, all you have to do is read the list of representatives who attend the Bilderberg meetings every year. These players and who they represent are who actually control every government in the world.

Trump is a fake, that’s all. He does earnestly believe in some issues I like... Issues that used to be what the Democrats championed to make Reagan look bad... Fair trade, etc. And he picked the right populist issue to go to Washington eith, immigration. But he was never a Republican.
