This is appropriate! It is suppose to be a government by the people for the people. But Democratic Crime Syndicate elite want to disarm moral citizens.
Theoretically speaking, If the state tried to actually take things from it’s people, the effort would be very organized. In order for a resistance to be successful, it would most likely have to be very organized, also.
I don't recall which "court" issued this opinion however it's irrelevant.
The point of the Second Amendment is not about self-defense in one's home or hunting. The Second Amendment exists because the Founders of our country understood that every Government eventually turns into a tyranny and the citizens of these United States would eventually need to be sufficiently armed to overturn tyranny when it comes HERE.
Well, here we are. Witness the sitting President, Donald J. Trump's battle against the deep state. We are on the brink of tyranny (if we're not there already and that's a debate for another time.)
The Second Amendment is about the Citizenry's right to defend itself from its own Government.
Damn' right stupid laws like this should be resisted with every fiber of our being.
"The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -- Thomas Jefferson
Bravo! Couldn't possibly agree with you more. Well said.
I hope they send an Aunt Teefah maggot to pick up my magazines. Send a bunch of them.
Several million Henry Bowman’s out there
Laws are only for the schmucks, not them.
In Canada you dill a hole so you can only put 5 rounds on the mag then pop in a rivet ,LOL
what about those 22 caliber revolvers with more than 10 chambers in the cylinder.
And how long does it take to drop a mag and reload with another mag. Used to do it in 1.4 seconds from the last shot in a man until the first shot out of a fresh mag. Law makers are ignorant as well as stupid.
“Citizens immediately sued the government, citing the unconstitutional nature of the ban, but they failed.”
Yes and no. The third circuit will finally flip in January when another Trump nominee gets confirmed. The appeal will then be heard by the full circuit court. Of course, the third circuit would’ve flipped sooner if not for the stonewalling by senator Fake.
For some odd reason our elected officials seem to prefer creating laws to control objects rather than the people that misuse the objects. No matter what law they create when trying to control an object, smart people will find a way around it. Our country was founded by people that believed liberty was the cornerstone of freedom. These elected officials that chip away at liberty are trying to end freedom.
I just remind the gun grabbers that I run into that if guns were completely outlawed there would still be guns. When they start to argue back I mention the prevalence of heroin as an example. They usually shut up after that.
Excellent book. A must read.
15 round magazines were still very common with pistol purchases around 20 or more years ago, even with the 15 round limit. I saw plenty on display in cases at local gun shops. So there’s still quite a few out there, sitting in people’s homes. And there’s likely plenty of owners who aren’t even aware of the new law.
Anyone remember when California tried to add lever action rifles to their a-s-s-s-ault rifle ban? Neal Knox was the first to find out about it. Under the law only a 10 shot Henry Rifle could be bought and sold, nothing over 10 shots.
This has nothing to do with safety. Ayn Rand got it right decades ago:
“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against - then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”
So politicians who are surrounded by others with guns for protection are using people who have guns to take away guns from people so they have no protection.... from the state politicians.
One cartridge at a time.
Trump shouldnt have caved on bump stocks.
FWIW several online articles posited that did this knowing it would be overturned in the courts, since a bump stock is NOT a machine gun.
I thought Chuck was
Going to Part the Red Sea !
I’d have been more impressed by that picture if he’d been holding an AR-15
